Running Atomiswave games on Naomi

Post by DJ Long Cat »

Well since I didn't see a topic here, I'll start it.

http://www.sega-naomi.com/forum/viewtop ... 2053#32053"

Dolphin Blue/GGX1.5/Demolist Fist all running on a Naomi. Full Speed/Sound and everything but controls since Atomiswave doesn't have JVS.

OPINIONS? Porting Arcade games to different boards? System246 to Python?

EDIT: Didn't think this could be about piracy per chance but it could go that way. Lets try to keep the discussion away from that and more on the possibility of porting titles to different boards and such.

I suppose its no different than the multi boards in a way, but it is interesting that he has these on runing Naomi

Honestly you could since an Atomiswave is just a stock Dreamcast without any extra RAM in such.

We could get arcade perfect ports at home of Hokuto No Ken and Rumble Fish 2!

I guess. I've already got an Atomiswave with KOFXI/RF2 but since I don't have a great JAMMA setup, I'd want this just to be able to easily set up/play my Atomiswave games.

Lock if you want, I could see this being about piracy (although pretty damn amazing).

So is he netbooting it on to the Dimm board?
Also is this the Austrian douche that copies everything and charges tons for it?

Joerg just told me he will make naomi carts with 4 in 1 atomiswave games selectable with dip switches.
The games will be Dolphin Blue, Demolish Fist, Guilty Gear X 1.5 and Knight of Valor 7 spirits.
I know you don't like his pricey conversion works, but i think he is a f***ing genius!

I've no problem with piracy of games no longer available, but I don't like his wrecking games. His Naomi CF stuff is pretty cool.

Needs to move on to the next level, reproducing stuff rather than SACing games. Much like the 8 and 16bit scenes have.

I personally think it would be awesome if the AW games could be modified to work on a retail DC. This is pretty cool regardless; I wonder if they will release the bin files so netbooters can play these games on the Naomi without a conversion cart?

Received my cart a few weeks ago and had now finally the time to play some hours :awe:

Just a fantastic piece of engineering,, just love it. No lags, no slowdowns (well, the usual ones you know from AW too)

A great item for collectors of obscure HW
