An LS Sound 25" in 2004. I only had an MV1C, CPS2 and STV. I don't think I ever even adjusted the monitor pots I was such a noob. I wish I still had a pic of her

A Supreme Video 2L12B 20" JAMMA woody. With SF2T and SFZ2A, and a MK bootleg.
Back in 96/97, not sure precisely when.

Re: What was the first game &cabinet you bought
My first arcade game was Warzard (CPS3), which I played on a supergun 7 years ago. Awesome game, but I sold it because I was scared of the dying battery. If the battery thing becomes a bit easier to handle, I will buy it again.
My first cab was a Blast City, which I bought last year. Before this I had sadly no money and especially no space left for a candy cab...

Re: What was the first game &cabinet you bought
My first cab was a "Leisuretime" 4 button woody with a hantrex mtc 9000 20" monitor. Cost me £50, eventually got relegated to the shed, the monitor died and I sold it some years later to a mame pillock for £70 via eBay
I think the first pcb I bought was either Street Fighter II' or Final Fight. I don't own either any more although I wish I did
First candy cab I owned was a naomi uni, bought off eBay from Mo in 2001 for £750 including gd-rom setup and sports jam. I actually still like sports jam...

Cab: Aero City form Tony pre Killer Cabs.
PCB: SFZ3.
I was originally running mame in the Aero, but slowly started buying pcbs. I think Esp Rade was my next buy.

Re: What was the first game &cabinet you bought
An LS-Sound candy, more than likely one of the ones mentioned above doing the rounds!
Edit: That was actually my second cab, the first was a broken and beaten Lordsvale MVS that I restored to minty fresh.
First pcb was a cracker though, original Bubble Bobble imported at great expense from the US.

After building a shame cab I bought a Play Scene woody which came with Tumblepop and Carrier Airwing.
I think the first PCB I bought was Shikigami no Shiro.
The only one I still have is Tumblepop

Re: What was the first game &cabinet you bought
My first cab was also a MAME cab. It was an empty Dynamo HS-1, which I purchased along with Wells Gardner arcade monitor. That project taught me more about arcade hardware than anything else could have. It also served to help refine my tastes in arcade gaming. I'm kind of bummed to see The MAME project get such a bad wrap over here. I recently sold that cab to make room for my AWSD, but I will continue to refer to MAME source code when I'm trying to learn the idiosyncrasies of a newly acquired PCB... In other words, there's no shame in my MAMEFrancoB wrote:After building a shame cab...

Re: What was the first game &cabinet you bought
My first bought cabinet was a Danish JK F3 (woody, JAMMA, 19" monitor) that I got from sven666. I came with a 2-player panel and steel buttons and no PCB. Before I sold it I re-did the panel (1-Player) and put a SUZO Inductive stick in it with Seimitsu buttons. It was a really nice cabinet by then, but after our latest move, I didn't have the room for three cabinets.
I also put a Fresnel lens in it that gave the illusion of having at least a 25" inside. It could also make you nauseous.
Edit: My first PCB was Silk Worm.

We hate the destruction of original hardware and the production of horrendously ugly cabs, and we vastly prefer original hardware to bootlegs/conversions/emulation.
