Top 6 NeoGeo MVS games

Post by cools »

So you've got your greasy paws on a six-slot NeoGeo MVS board, and want to fill it up then forget about changing carts ever again... what games would you install?

I'm thinking:
Magical Drop 3 (definitely, no way I'd change this)
Samurai Shodown 2 (KOF98? Waku Waku 7?)
Windjammers (Super Dodge Ball? Bang Bead?)
Twinkle Star Sprites (Pulstar? Blazing Star?)
Metal Slug (2/3? Shock Troopers?)
Overtop (????)

The only rules are that you can choose no more than six games, and they must be available on MVS. The first title in a multiple choice is the only one that counts.

Latest updated vote list is here, and the final rankings are here!

Strikers 1945 Plus
Fatal Fury Special
Fatal Fury 3
Art of Fighting 2
Art of Fighting 3
Samurai Shodown 3

Except 45 Plus, which I still play (and FFS every now and then), I´m totally burned out on the MVS stuff, must have played them too much back in the day.

oh well :awe:

I didn't play super expensive cave boards in the arcade when I was young, I played neogeo, therefore it is arcade to me. :) I'm not going to buy the latest and greatest board because many of them are overpriced, lose value too quick, and I'd just rather play something on the ps3 if I'm going to play modern games.
i used to play league Bowling to death because we had a mvs at work, and i still love it. I only got my Lordsvale a few months back and am really enjoying playing the games - non of the new stuff seems as much fun to me as the old games, too much reliance on just throwing out hundreds of bullets...

You're only allowed six! :D

I did the same thing when compiling a flash cart for the GBA that sits in my bag. Pick a list of titles that'll sit on there "forever". It's tougher than it seems.
