weren't these advertised as limited quantities?

I did imply once before this was more about money for them than the love, does this prove it? :hinthint:

From the newsletter:

Gunlord MVS LE (we were out of stock before we hit the limitation limit) the other LEs are out of print. *1)

*1)
The remaining 20 copies will be made available.
The game uses black wood shells. It comes without bonus stickers and may have different posters.

I think its quality a developer is still producing old school 2D titles in this day and age. I enjoy their games, and am really looking forward to XYX. Theres very little in the way of new arcade releases these days, and you really can't blame them for wanting to make a few bob in the process. After all, isn't that the main intention of all arcade developers? :)

Tbh this is a debate we've had before so not gonna tread old ground, but the context I debated before was that you could release 2D material on newer machines and that as an 'indie' the developer targeted older machines for almost guaranteed sales to a niche audience where they could charge high prices. I was also very much in the minority with this opinion

Edit: oh and my quoted post above was just me being an **** rather than meaning it tbh :shifty:

Anyone remember what the LE is supposed to come with? Fairly certain the regular edition wasn't available at all when I ordered.

A shockbox and some art I think. Regular Gunlord only became available later too IIRC. I don't think the LEs get a reprint.

Plastic, cardboard and exclusivity. Shame it's been such a long while since the preorder, as the exchange rate is way better now.

Srsly?
You might have to remove the other 3 carts if you're using a 4-slot. I've found NG DEV games to be a bit fussy like that.

Now, yes. Apparently there'll be a choice of woods... and you can still choose plastic as well.

So are those who pre-ordered this going for the wood or translucent blue MVS case? I'm on the fence.

Well i'm going with the wood, and if I don't like it I'm thinking I can always sell it on and pick up the re-print.
