baseball stars 2 availability

Post by Porl »

Hi everyone,

I thought this might be the place to ask a question about MVS games. More specifically about Baseball Stars 2. Since I got my MVS 1-slot at the end of last month I've been doing ebay and ebid searches to see if Baseball Stars 2 is available but I've come up blank. I see loads of Baseball Stars Professional but never any BS2's. :eh:

Is it a rare game or something? I find nearly all other games but this, feels like it was never released on the MVS or something but I'm sure I remember playing it in the local video shop when I was a kid.

Is it just harder to find? And generally how much do loose-carts go for do you know?

cheers for any help :)

Cheers Kernow, thats not to bad price-wise :D From my failed searches I was starting to assume it would be a £100+ game which would put play to me getting hold of one.

I've not played BBSpro I don't think, I always have memories of the batters with massive super bats which I think is BBS2. And thats one of the things I loved about the game! :D

Thanks again, I'll keep my eyes peeled for a good copy.

I paid about £50 for a copy from the US. It seems to be more common there than in the UK.

Was that including shipping or did you have to pay on top? I've not looked for places outside of the UK really as I've had it in my head that there was more chance the cart could get damaged on the longer journey. Probably a stupid thing to think though really I guess.

Thanks for the heads up Kernow! :D

I've contacted them to see if it is the proper cart or just artwork and it comes up with a low / no stock warning when you add it to the cart (I wanted to see what postage was likely to be like). We'll see what they reply with about availability cus the price is perfect if its the game.

Yup, they were caught couple years back. However on cheap games it's not worth it.

Ohh never thought to check things like that out. A bit too trusting hey!

I'll see what they say when they reply. If its known to not be too reputable I'll probably steer clear. Thanks for the help tho Kernow. At least you got a hit on a search. better than I did! haha

MVS are ok. Just AES to watch out for.

I've seen the cart selling on ebay.com for about £50 before shipping

I wasn't suggesting BS2 was a bootleg, more that Neoayato are a little shady and don't deserve your business.

This.

I wouldn't buy anything from NeoAyato.

Shady selling tactics, outright scams.

If NG.com puts more gas in the server and fixes the pull starter, just post a WTB on there.

I used to buy on the odd occasion from NeoAyato if I was stuck & couldn't find it elsewhere - they were ok despite longish delivery times and a Vampire Saviour 2 that turned up with a tattered label which was described as being in excellent condition in reply to an email I'd sent posing the question as the photo had the repro arts taped to the case obscuring the label :palm:

Upon discovering the shenanigans they'd pulled in the past however I steer clear now. That's not to say you should too (good price if that is in fact the cart) but that's just my stance.

At the very least they could do with putting a bit more effort in to their photos and the accompanying descriptions which are often non existent.
