Re: Caine's Arcade
I thought Cains arcade was a front for the highly illegal narcotic "nuke" and was full of mostly crappy Data East stuff.

Re: Caine's Arcade
Great video. Fair play to the young lad building all those games. Love the calculator security system he put in place. No detail left to spare!
They've raised some amount of cash for the lad and his scolarship fund now. Fair play to him.

Kudos to the dad I must say, for letting his kid pursue his dream at the place of his business.

Sweet kid and little project, but for **** sake they'll sell anything won't they?
In hindsight, I should of noticed something was up with the cutesy music and drawn out puppy dog stares they had that kid doing on the video. It was all suspiciously well produced too.

I found this whole thing disgustingly sappy and over produced. Can't believe it went viral.

Thank you.Molloy wrote:I found this whole thing disgustingly sappy and over produced. Can't believe it went viral.
Let's all donate an incomprehensible amount of money to the little tyke. His Dad has his own business, kid is spoilt rotten as it is, but **** it, he's cute, adventurous and pathetic all at the same time - this is America, that **** is gold. That creepy marketing guy that walked by one day - make sure he gets a decent cut too.

Re: Caine's Arcade
When I hear that sort of music swelling in the background I can't feel anything but cynical about the whole thing. Every kid does this sort of thing. Or most of them. I used to build these elaborate crazy golf courses out of cardboard, books and Tomy train tracks. Plus I bet they were more fun than that kids junk. Nothing THAT exceptional about this story. Kids are meant to do that kind of thing there's no need to organise some contrived celebration of the imagination of a child. I just find that kind of carry on patronising.
