Lately, in the U4, I’ve had a couple of NG:Dev games, Kraut Buster and Fast Striker, as well as the the standard always plugged in Big Tournament Golf, and lastly MS2 because I’m still grinding the 1cc.

I’ve done it emulated, but never on real hardware.

Kraut Buster is actually a fun time, and not just a cheap MS clone as it’s often called.

Fast Striker is a fun SHMUP, but I’m not exactly sure how to classify it… it’s not really a Cave style bullet hell, but it’s not really a ‘Euro SHMUP’. It’s kinda somewhere between the two.
Fun visuals for the Neo Geo though, great soundtrack, and the gameplay is pretty engaging.

Only issue I have with it, is that a big part of it is that soundtrack, but for no discernible reason the game plays really quietly compared to all the other carts in the cab… :problem:

For some reason I had a hankering to play Fatal Fury last night so threw it into the cab , I struggled with it , I couldn't preform any of Terry or Andy's moves with any consistency
So like any true arcade head ,I blamed the sticks, seimitsu's in the cab so switched it into the e2 with jlf's ... still the same   :lolno: so basically I really suck at games. seems to be inputs are very precise on FF .
I don't have ff2 anymore so tried that on the aes and didnt have the same problem so either its more forgiving or ....easier i dont know  !

I might have to start a ‘what’s your stick of choice’ thread…

I hate the JLF unless it’s so heavily modified it might as well be it’s own thing. (On my Neo six slot I have two JLFs, with 4lb springs, a chrome pivot, octagonal gate, oversized actuator and a shaft cover and heavy aluminium bat top)

For the tate Windy II I’ve got an LS56 with the Kowal short throw mod, and the mighty Franco B’s throw reducer mod, and I was so pleased with Franco’s mod that I now have an identically set up stick on my U4. This now replaces the 40th Anniversary LS32 that was on there previously.

Technically that’s what’s ‘in my cab right now’, right?

More on topic, little has changed from my post at the top of this page. Just don’t get enough time to grind these games and swap them out…

yeah the sticks are definitely not like how id like them to be, but its just so long since I changed anything or messed about with them any bit that I havent got around to seeing what is doable or want these days ,also have 1-2 arcade stick I've to mod as well at some point , I do prefer a shorter throw and stiffer :fastlove: heavier spring. so might look at those mods. But either way im **** a games ! :awe:

If a short throw is your thing, I cannot recommend an LS56 and Franco’s throw reducer enough.
I use the Kowal short throw mod at the same time, and I can genuinely say it’s improved my game.

I’m not saying I can now 1cc stuff I couldn’t before, but I’m certainly more consistent.

Only used it on SHMUPs and Metal Slug. Might be a bit tight for fighters…

2nd this. I’ve always championed the 56 but Franco’s mod makes it even sweeter. Have this combo in my Vewlix. I just need a decent solution for the Woody now.

Vampire Savior, put the 6 button CP back on the Windy, it’s great to be learning a new Capcom game and this one is very pretty 🤩

Looks really nice. I’m really loving the Cocktail aesthetic lately!

This post has not helped my resolve to hold off on buying a MiSTeR either!!
