Powering on and off

Post by clutch »

Is it ok to turn off a cabinet by hitting the power button on a power strip? Same for turning on?

I have mine hooked up to those power saving, remote plug things. You hit the button & it cuts the power at the socket. £5 for 3 + remote from Asda.

I actually enjoy using the switch on the cab; it just feels wrong switching it on and off at the plug :awe:

Wow I need one of those for between my sisters pc and the socket so when I can't watch a youtube cause she is torrenting the **** out of glee i can switch it off and she will come to my room and I will tell her it is broken and ill fix it tomorrow. think of the possibilities :awe:
The screws used to seal up this cart are wood screws. Nobody is going to waste good wood screws on a bootleg, they'd just use cheap electronic screws instead.

Anybody know why there are threaded holes beside the locks on a Blast City cabinet?

If it's the same as on my NAOMI, I have always assumed it's for added security on the doors and hatches. They physically stop the cams from turning to the open position. If someone happens to have a key which opens the lock, they also have to have a security torx screwdriver to remove that long-**** screw. :awe:

Depends on the cab and the layout of where it is. Egret II has that handy front switch under the base, it can be difficult to get to the switch on say a Naomi

My arms + fingers are just about exactly as long as they have to be to reach the switch - looks like I am giving the base a single armed hug from above though :awe:

Yeah, they are definitely for locking the mechanisms. I didn't even think that there are bolts that are not easily removable. Like the bolts with the hex looking holes with a pin in the center.

Yeah, security torx. They're not there to prevent anyone from getting in, because if they want to, they will. The purpose is to make it take them longer -- hopefully long enough for an attendant to notice. ;)

Definitely. I thought it was funny that the coinbox has a hole in it so you can further lock it down with a padlock. :awe:
