First cab (well first candy cab anyways) should be coming home today
Looking to bag a shooter and a platform game (genres which I'm fairly familar with) but also a side scrolling fighter but my mind is drawing a blank on possible titles to hunt down.
Any suggestions? I'm thinking Final Fight / Streets of Rage in terms of gameplay style.

Denjin Makai 2 (Guardians) is excellent. Eight characters to choose from, loads of special moves, different routes and great graphics and music too. Once you get good at the game you can pull off some impressive combos.

Seconded. This was one of my coveted titles since I played it whilst on holiday in Greece in 1992. I got hold of it a couple of years ago now, great game.
