Well, Namco did the same with Soul Calibur III some years ago. The arcade version was released later but fixed most bugs found in the home version and characters were better balanced. Unfortunately, intro FMV and endings were removed. That's a pity...

haha this will be the bootleg release. Make sense to-do the console version first, then give out the "free" arcade version later..

Capcom were saying if they (they being the public) wanted super in the arcades they would need to have someone place an order for at least 100 units. Dunno if that means 100 for 100 machines or 100 for 50 2 player machines or not. Thinking this over I can see JP selling that out pretty much instantley or at least leasing this to some arcades. Even though arcades are on the downward spiral in JP there still **** hooge compared to the rest of the words markets. Also a lot of the big name players wont play the home version. Daigo for one would night fight anyone who used character who were in the home port exclusive as he never played that. Rumour has it capcom had to pay him to give SFIV the thumbs up and actually start playing it.

if i had an arcade in a major city and had trafic I would get SSFIV just to get the regualrs in. Despite SFIV being one of the best net coded fighters ever (if not best ever) people still bitch about it when i whup there ****. Its always the top players too. Last guy I cained was one of the guys who was in the SFIV tourny at IC09 and I whuped him 5 times in a row. he was scotish but I could at least decipher from his basic english that the net code was dire

Despite SFIV being one of the best net coded fighters ever (if not best ever) people still bitch about it when i whup there ****.

I wonder how well the netcode is going to function now that you have player lobbies and can spectate the matches just like in Remix.

I'm really rather pleased that the definitive SFIV will be on Type X2 after all. I can't wait to own it in about 3 years

No it still 1P only, although it will be hacked.. Apparently SF4 for TypeX2 has been hacked to allow 2 players.. It only works on the original version with dongle (not the Spanish specials)

There bringing Yun and Yang to the arcades. There were some rumours floating around about the possablity of poison (of final fight fame) but its looking unlikley. Seems in the twitter feed every time poision got mentioned the producer would chirp in with a little comment followed by a wink emote. Seems very much like a red herring to me.
