As much as I would love the opposite, the Pony is so cool!

I say keep the rare bird(/Pony)

I was hoping this would be cut and dry tipped towards the Pony, you're all making me think twice about the SNK Candy now

It's definitely not burn out syndrome or me being jaded with arcade hardware by the way, I still love the stuff - if I had more space I'd have loads of cabinets. Unfortunately I just bought a new house and went with location over size, so have less space than I used to for hobbies.

My arcade boards taking up as much space as a third arcade machine so I need to whittle them down too. Am really happy with how MisTer is coming along so am going to use that for the bulk of stuff - will still hang onto some of my favourite boards though and all of my 60 or so MVS carts, I'm not a complete monster

Id say sell the boards that you havent used in the last 6 months to year, then e see which ones aren't on your keepers list and sell those especially if it work in mister and your happy with them carts and all.

Sell ME the Neo and I'll give you visitation rights at your holiday location....

Man, I'm relatively new here, but as a long time hoarder, I'd say keep them both if possible and get rid of the PCBs. You can always snag a second MiSTer down the road and also the MiSTer version of NeoGeo is very good right now. Finally, you don't want to rotate constantly.

Good luck, just remember, Sophie's Choice did not end on a happy note.

The Candy! It was my first cab and the rotation mech is gold if you only have one cab.

If you don’t keep that incredible SNK Candy, I’ll judge you harshly!!! It’s a beauty!!!

Hmmmm, actually, if I tell you the Candy is rubbish perhaps you’ll sell it to me :problem:

Yeah, change of plan, that Candy is terrible, and I hear they eat children and commit arson. Just sayin’.

I genuinely keep going back to the first post just to look at the Candy!!

You have to keep it. It’s brilliant, you’ve clearly looked after it extremely well, and it’s versatile.

Perhaps get an Alberto six button panel for it too so you can swap that in if you fancy some Street Fighter??

Does the New Candy 25 have a rotate mech?

I know the Candy 26 has one, but this is a different cab.

You should definitely sell the Pony to good home... like mine for example :)
(Semi) joking aside, does the SNK have a rotate mech? If yes, that would be a big plus for me. I really miss the E2 for that reason.

I’m sure @o1s1n will confirm either way, but my research suggests that the 25 does rotate, but manually. The 26 has the mech…

I’m seriously thinking I need one of these in my life.

I’m supposed to be streamlining, not adding cabs! :shifty:

Snk mvu4 25s do not rotate, the cab isnt deep enough to fit the screen i V position.

The 6slot candy is possible to rotate tho, youll just have to manufacture new mounting brackets.

It’s a ‘Candy 25’ rather than a U4 25 (although they do appear to have identical bodies).

AO Wiki and HardCandy.com both suggest it can be rotated.
I can’t find any pictures of one with a tate screen though.

Sorry dudes, only seeing this now! The 'New' candy 25 can 100% be rotated, but there's no mechanism and it's just manual.

There's an earlier model 25 with a rotate mechanism - here's a link to one Ronnie was selling back when I bought my version.
