Nerco bump , but im still debating whether to do this on my arcade sticks but its kind of frying my brain atm.
Can anyone recommend me a decent little discreet black rotary switch (like the ones on vga boxes) i could use on the back of my stick to acheive these 3 layouts via a DB15
Im sure i can work it all out if i had the correct switch.

A 6P3T switch should work for your application. Something like [this].
You might just want to mount it in a little project box or similar.
