Hello my friends

I'm sad because I don't know why it doesn't output sound...

I checked all the 4 fuses and looks fine, jamma harness is ~ 5V always..

Tried in my HDTV and Sony trinitron CRT... And results are the same, sound missing.


Can be something broken inside?

The boardmaster is brand new and I still didn't play on it, I'm still in the first steps...

I can't use the RGB 21 from Japan because I believe to have heard in Internet that they comes with some pin signals changed and doesn't work with Euro SCART TV











Please help,I'm a bit desperate to start enjoying this sexy boardmaster.

you need to increase the sound output from your JAMMA board...and superguns should be free from MAME..always

Boardmaster has a sound regulator wheel, but I turn it to each side without success...

turn the wheel half way. BUT the cps2 A-Board has 3 side buttons, one of them will increase the sound in both the L/R output as well as the JAMMA sound output. Adjust that until you hear sound.

Ok,I'll try this tomorrow.

But...

What happens with my Puyo Puyo and blood Bros boards? Doesn't have buttons in the motherboard true?

And games doesn't sound as well.... Turning or not the sound wheel.

hmm...lets hope the JAMMA board volume is too low in your case.

I only hope my brand new supergun isn't broken please...I've been waiting it on hold by the customs 1 month!

I'm sure it's fine. As rugdoctor said, turn the Supergun's amp about half way then adjust the volume on the PCB. There are buttons on the side of CPS2 but most PCBs have a pot (VR1) you can turn with a screwdriver. Also enter the CPS2 test menu and check audio is set to JAMMA and not Q-Sound.

You can probably buy an RGB cable from Videogame Imports or Retro Gaming Cables. You could also use an RGB21-Scart adapter (try ebay). These will probably carry audio too. Your LCD might not always like the video signal so stick to CRT if you can.

Just found that in the Jamma harness there's not 12V signal....


I'll change the fuse just in case

And my CPS1 Final Fight original not working too'

That's probably the reason why my CPS2 motherboard fan was stopped

ffs....Label the JAMMA harness properly to make sure you do not put the JAMMA board in backwards while you are at it.

May Easter be a celebration of Christ and your sg..ffs....

The lack of 12v will be why you have no sound.

I would open the SG up and meter the PSU without a game board attached and then go from there.

Get a proper Scart for this Gun at Retrogamingcables UK. Got one for my Sigma and it's really .

It's working!

Replaced both, 12V and -5V fuses and problem solved!

Is the original RGB 21 Japanese cable useless for me?

Where do I buy fuses (and which ones) for the boardmaster of I'm in the states. I have the same problem. No sound and cps2 fan doesn't spin. I'm terrible at these things. Thanks for any help!
