Well I got one of these bad boys yesterday so thought I'll do another overview type thing like I did for my Vega & AV6000 as there ain't a lot of info out there. I thought I would start it now but I'll add to this post over the next few days when after I've spent a bit of time with it. I need to swap the stick top to ball tops but other than than it in excellent shape.
First up there is a short and a long version of this SG I have the long version
Now I'm not 100% sure but I believe the there was a 2L6B version and the only decent photo i have of the short version (below) may be a modded 2L6B, note the buttons are only marked 1, 2, 3 (No 4,5,6) also placement of 2P 4,5,6 doesn't look right.
heres a couple of pics for comparison

Well smart and well put together: also in very good nick!
Another super gun where the controls have been soldered to the loom - I don't understand that - my Pana is just the same.
Cheers,
Ralph.

No, it's seems odd. I would have presumed it would be eaiser and obviously more practicle to use regular crimp connectors. BTW the buttons are Shinden (you can't really see the company stamp in my crap pic
) rather than Seimitsu or Sanwa.

Nice photos and overview as usual Paulie. Just out of curiosity, what are all the dip switches on the connector pcb for?

TBH I have no idea what the dip switches do
I should have a mess with them really and find out.
Henk wanted a few pics of the loom so thought I would post them here as they may be of use to someone else too
BTW the extra little loom was made by the lovely FrannyB for the original owner for playing AW games

Hi,
I recently got a Super Combo AV (in fact it looks like the longer version with a different Jamma/connector board) and I noticed that yellow RCA video connector is disabled : thin cuts done intentionally on the Jamma/connector board... so, I'd like to know if it is disabled too in the longer version of the gun.
I will post some pics if needed.

Hmm, that's really interesting, wonder why they decided to do that. Yeah do you have a photo mate.

Here are the pics.
The original 110V PSU inside is a Nidec PKA-7010SZ.

Update : I got a RGB cable from Retrogamingcables, it's just fine.
Gonna take my multimeter to check yellow and S-video outs and the encoder CXA1145P.

I think one of the switches on the end panel turns them off (for when you're using headphones or the RGB port).
