Is this worth a lot? Pretty crazy you can find 30-year-old NOS arcade kits today.

Out of morbid curiosity, what did the last couple of Big Fighter kits sell for?

I can't remember, but I'm sure there are plenty of arses which we can pull figures from.Grinning Cat wrote: ↑September 16th, 2019, 5:01 pm Out of morbid curiosity, what did the last couple of Big Fighter kits sell for?

I think I have vague memories of someone over on Shmups paying a lot for one many moons ago. Although given how long ago that was, I guess the value could be anything now.
We really need a PCB inflation calculator

£X * years ^ hype
Excluding full boxed, mint kits and proto / matsuri stuff, I think cave / rizing / toaplan pcbs have or are very close their max. Any increases now will be incremental imo.
Mint complete kits, they could easily keep going up.
Seeing as I know nothing. Fully expect bare pcbs in the £3000 range this time 2020

Yeah, I also think that we have seen the top, but I have been wrong on this topic before, several times.
If somebody told me a couple of years ago that I would have to shell out 1500 + euro for some games I would have laughed in their face =/

I fully expect prices to tank again, just as soon as I've 'finished' picking up most of the stuff that I want; just as I sold most of my collection the first time, right before all the prices went crazy.
I won't be selling again - but it feels somehow inevitable

I think our economy will tank and everyone else around the world will buy cheap PCBs from the UK.

Sadly, that's probably even more inevitable than my theory
Still, hopefully we can band together - and stop foreigners from taking our 'British' PCBs Am I doing Brexit right?

Yes, but you made need to fill in a form and pay a fee to nationalise your imported pcbsGrinning Cat wrote: ↑September 17th, 2019, 10:54 pm Sadly, that's probably even more inevitable than my theory

Re: Items you can't afford on Yahoo Japan Auctions
Once I've filled out all the necessary paperwork, I'm assuming I'll get a sack of replacement, Union Jack EPROM stickers for my nationalised PCBs? And some gaudy, vinyl skins for Cave boxes - with 'Bulldog Spirit' emblazoned across them - also wouldn't go amiss.markedkiller78 wrote: ↑September 18th, 2019, 8:20 amYes, but you made need to fill in a form and pay a fee to nationalise your imported pcbsGrinning Cat wrote: ↑September 17th, 2019, 10:54 pm Sadly, that's probably even more inevitable than my theory
