i have changed my id to try and stop this now!! :(
This is exactly the STV technic.
He just outbid with one of his account to check what the automatic highest bid is, then cancel this bid and wait the end of the Auctions to use another ID and bid 100 JPY more than the other.

Surely there is a mechanism to report this behaviour on Yahoo? I appreciate that few of us are Japanese speakers, but perhaps there is somebody within the community who could do the necessary?

Are the japanese buyers that honest and doesn't use any kind of sniping tactic? Otherwise that doesn't make a lot of sense as a lot of bids would come in at the last few seconds, but I may be a bit stupid when it comes to these things.

On a sidenote I e-mailed STV to buy some stuff a while back (I know I know ) and mentioned that I used his service and had contact with him via AO before, he never responded. So if he doesn't want to deal with AO users his clientel should be dwindling fast.

A few minutes of time are being added when bidding within the last 10 minutes of an auction. This way everybody can still consider placing a bid in the last few minutes. It's impossible to make a sniping hit with this system which i think is great. Not sure if there are cheating sniping robots though. :problem:

I would love to think that. Sadly the truth will likely far from this. There is a H00GE market out there full of people who neither know STV nor are familiar with his antics. The sad truth is that I would imagine STV will hardly be affected by the trade he is missing out on from all of the various communities he is no longer welcome at!

I too dealt with STV before he went "turbo"!

I reiterate, his antics are lower than whale ****!

I hope he suffers from terminal ingrowing toenails!

Cheers,

Ralph.

Congrats! Good to hear you're still cool about it. That's the thing, STV will stop when there's no more profit in it when bidding for his own greed. Still cost you twice the amount now. :problem:

I knew he would be there to try and snipe it, it was pretty logical after all...
I could have paid a lot less for it if he didn't get in the way, but meh, i'm too happy right now to have won this. :awe:

Oh and i got this one too : http://page7.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/g124802851" :D
