Jamma PCB in JVS cabinet (Jammafier)

Post by invzim » September 8th, 2018, 8:18 pm

Not sure if I'm stepping over some lines by posting here, but just want to inform that I'm making another small batch of the 'Jammafier'.

This is an alternative to the Namco, Konami and RiverService adapters.
I make and sell cool Arcade stuff, check out https://irkenlabs.com/ - In The Name of Science!

Why would you be? I'd be calling it more something along the lines like doing the community a big favor :) Keep up the good work buddy!

PS: I would have put it in the for sale section though :)

Read the whole thing :awe: If you have clue, the disclaimer is not for you. If you picked up some unknown cab for your livingroom and have no electrical skills, I think it's good advice 8-)

Hi invzim,

Do you have any news on the Retro Scaler A1 ?

Even if i'm curious to try your JVS to Jamma adapter, i'd love to have a fully working solution for Naomi cabs to play 15K games in a one package solution.

Thanks !

Work-in-progress. Picture quality is awesome, much better than say xrgb2. Some PCB's have really noisy video, so I decided to add a low-pass-filter to make this the 'end-all' arcade scaler.
Biggest hurdle though is cost - I use the 'good stuff' from Analog Devices, and there are a lot of parts on the PCB.

Many parts on the PCB prohibits doing small batches manually, and the cost of all the parts combined makes running a batch of say a 100 a pretty big commitment (and a big risk in case things are not working 100%). I'm honestly not sure how to go about it yet, but I'm working on it - it may not happen at all.

Ok, thanks for your answer ! I hope you'll be able to finish it someday, and maybe have some kind of preorder batch "all or nothing" so you'll don't have to risk anything money wise to release it. Great job btw, i'd love to see it live
