I use a Ati X300 (old but perfectly fine still) which allows more modelines (due to using the old version of the ati driver). I paid £9 for it shipped, and it's half size, perfect for compact desktop computers.

Can newer AMD gpus still output 15k at all?

AMD has brought out their version of a much much more powerful Rasberry Pi. Has VGA out.

By the way I read an article about some genius Rasberry Pi user who connected the thing up to an arcade machine for an authentic experience. He talked about the whole lengthy process of his video hack. Rasberry Pi co. shook his hand and posed for photos and everything.

Turned out He installed hyperspin and ran it through a scaler via hdmi converter. :palm:

Mmmm was thinking about 3 Wonders but wasn't sure it made the grade...chariot and midnight wanderers are pretty good tbh..
Should have checked everything thoroughly before buying
If I had a pound for every time I said that to myself!! ;)
cutting the heatsink on the 2400 was rushed and ended up messy... So I've binned it
:(

Jpac is on the way so next week I can try and totally **** one of my nice 31k rigs by switching it to 15k!! :awe:

Tbh the 2400 was only good to test functionality, it doesn't support low dot clocks so I would have likely moved away anyway.

And I'm done. Boots up to the customised internal MAME UI with a very limited selection of horizontal, 2P simultaneous games. Fully controllable by the pads.

Added a few more to the vert section...don't think were gonna get to 100 unless we include some of the more average titles... :problem:

Between these versions there have been some good changes to Groovy, so it's worth doing. For 99% of games there won't be any ROM changes.

mmm...might have a play, so long as I haven't got to download an entire 151 romset...
