Does anyone have a recent build of Groovymame (i.e 0.213, 0.214) with the No Nag diff applied?

I'm trying to get a setup together that runs in 640x480 as default for the menu (Tosh PF Tri-sync) but switches to 15k as required, or runs at 15k for the menu and switches to 640x480/31k as required!

Basically I'd like normal 15k stuff to run, and be able to get demul and other 31k stuff selectable and running. I have an Irken tri-sync helper I can put in line, but is this plausible or asking too much?

edit - setup is win10, 200ge CPU, 7950 GPU.

Someone who knows better than me can go into more detail (or correct me if I'm wrong), but I believe switching between 15k and 31k while the monitor is powered is not recommended as it could damage the chassis. I think you need to just pick one or the other, and down/upscale as needed.

Nah, the auto switching monitors are fine dealing with resolutions within range

Personally I would run everything in 31k with software scanlines.

Thanks cools, will the setup be "better" in 15k though, I mean, are 31k + software scanlines going to be discernible from "proper" 15k do you know?

I couldnt tell the difference on a Toshiba PF, ran it that way for years.

You can 100% tell the difference between a 15k only monitor and 15k on a trisync whether native or software scanlines, but 15k and 31k software on a trisync... look the same to me.

Anyone still keeping Groovymame up-to-date?

Banging my head against a brick wall with 0.252. I can’t get it to run with Switchres enabled. It keeps throwing up an access violation error just trying to load the mame app itself. I re-ran VMMaker but it didn’t help. Any ideas what I’m doing wrong?

I'm exclusively GroovyArcade nowadays. Are you using the latest build? I'm sure I saw something was broken in the first build of 252
