Re: Rainbow Islands repair help

Sorry they aren't the best schemes in the world but hopefully the will help you out although don't think 49 and 50 are covered on it.
I should really learn to make better ones ;)

I'll take a look at my board when I get a minute

If your using the G pal then the wire link needs to go to pin 9, if your using the F pal then it goes to pin 7

Re: Problem burning PAL to GAL.

Nice to know the G actually works for other people too. Thanks for testing. I can confirm that the B gal file worked fine for me but only tested it on the one game. Can anyone confirm if an original Eco Fighters uses a B pal or not? As far as I know none of the BGSB3x pals are used in registered mod...

Re: silent scope (hardware error)

Both silent scope 1 and 2 require a preprogrammed rtc chip to operate or you get the hardware 11p error. Silent scope 1 rtc contains some text which sets the version. Silent scope 2 rtc contains similar text plus a checksum both of which must match. This text also sets the region for this game. All ...

Re: Atomiswave sync issue

Nope, the Naomi syncs perfect in both modes and on all screens.
The atomiswave syncs fine at 15khz mode but struggles in 31khz mode.

Sorry for the confusion

Re: Atomiswave sync issue

No, the scrambled picture looks fairly stable.
If I hook it straight up to an LCD pc monitor it doesn't sync up at all.

It's not really a huge problem as 15khz mode looks just fine but wanted to give it a try.

Atomiswave sync issue

Everything works fine and am loving it but.... Ive got some sync issues when using it in hi res mode on a tri sync monitor. I have read somewhere on the vast WWW that Atomiswave sync output on the VGA is a bit weak. I use my NAOMI in hi res on it quite a bit so I know the monitor is OK to accept 31k...

Re: Rom Burner advice

i had a G540 for a while, served its purpose at the time but has been moved on since then. I did once upon a time make a patch for the software to remove all the chinglish from the GUI and replace it with something that makes sense but cant find it now. Re: Capcom IO problem

I apologise if this is a silly question, but the guy knows the Naomi mobo still needs its own psu, right? ...and he needs to set dip1 for 15k unless his screen will support the Naomi VGA? Good shout, if the new owner is using a net dimm then the power that can be supplied from the IO is not enough ...

I have an updated PIC on mine (megadrive ports version) that stops the random button presses if a controller isn't fitted, it also allows me to coin up with the control pad with a small wiring mod
