Re: What's it worth?

I own all 3 systems :) I use my NGCD mostly for non fighting games or to listen to the soundtracks (most of the ngcds have the ost on the CD).
AES is more or less just for collectiong reasons and MVS to play the games, especially the more expensive ones.

Lol I knew the Neo CD was bad but I didn't realise it was that bad. I'll still get one eventually. No one's going to stop me. :awe: Do it, there is nothing more sexy than a frontloading Neo Geo CD :awe: And you can play gorgeous exclusives like Neo geo Special, ADK World, Quest of Jongmaste...

Re: Arcade or Console gaming - books, magazines & dvds

I have also two nice books for your list ;) 1. Service Games: The Rise and Fall of SEGA It's quite new (2012) and a very detailed review of Sega's history. Their arcade history is also focused a bit. I'm reading it atm. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Service-Games-Rise-Fall-SEGA/dp/1463578474/ref=sr_1_1?ie...

Re: Capcom Impress 29" Monitor...

Thanks for the reply. Sadly a lot of people I contacted didn't know what's the cause :( I heard a click / zap sound and the picture jumped. That is what scares me a bit. I have the click sounds when I turn it off. During play I had it about 2-3 times or even more. That zap sound with the jumping pic...

I may join the discussion, since I have a similar upcoming problem (maybe...). When I switch my Impress off, I can hear some click sounds as can be heard in the below vids http://www.hasntfiguredouthowtoembedyoutubeproperly.com/watch?v=LVckGozT8-4&feature=youtu.be" http://www.hasntfiguredouthowtoemb...

Re: What's it worth?

Between 100€ to 130€ I think.
There was one on ebay some months ago and it was sold within the above price range.

In Japan you can get it at some shops for about 10.000 yen

Re: Taito's NESiCA Live - Arcade on demand

I saw this some months ago when I went to Japan. There was a new Taito Station in Osaka (only one year old) and of course no Egrets, CRT cabs whatever, only Vewlix cabs. And they run their older games (SNK, CPS2 and so on) on their Vewlix cabs and it looked horrible :problem: I took a video of this ...

Re: Neo Geo MVS - 1 Slot - sound issue

As far as I know this problem is related to the Z80 CPU.
In some cases leaked battery acid damages the traces to the Z80 and then you have these sound errors. I my case (MV-1F) this was the reason.

But if the pcb is clean and you can't see anything, then it's maybe another thing!?

Re: Capcom Impress Original Sticks and Buttons

Yeah, mine has a decent amount of yellowing. Anyone out there have experience using retrobright to de-yellow theirs? My Impress CP was on the right side a bit yellowed and after using retrobright, it became pretty white again, so I can recommend it. I used a 9% Oxydant and Vanish Oxy Action powder....
