Re: VMUs on a Naomi

I did once see someone selling a cart that included the guide on wiring your own VMU harness, but I didn't see the point at the time. Now I've got a game that has a save facility

VMUs on a Naomi

I've heard there's a guide to wiring up a VMU (or a Dreamcast Controller to allow the use of a VMU) to a Naomi cab.

I know the Capcom CP allows for this, does it require the Capcom I/O aswell, or is it possible without?

Googling for the guide isn't getting me anywhere, can anyone help?

Re: Screws/Bolts for Naomi

They're mostly M4 and M6 machine screws (tamper-proof on the outside/exposed parts) depending on what part of the cab your putting them on. (eg smaller parts use M4 x 8/10/12/16mm pan-head like inside the control panel etc, larger parts use M6 x 25mm for example on the CRT cover, bezel etc) The manu...

Re: mame scanlines

Sort of, they appear like horizontal lines on a vertical game, but the png has vertical lines so when rotated they orientate horizontally. Bear in mind this is an emulated pixel-doubled image running at 640 x 480, horizontal scalnies don't look anywhere near as nice compared to the vertical ones, at...

Re: mame scanlines

If you wan't scanlines to look right on a tate, you need a png with lines running vertically instead of horizontally.

Just rotate the standard scanlines.png 90 degrees in photoshop or whatever.

If anyone needs the vertical scanlines and lacks the software to do this I can email you the png

Re: whats the difference?? jlf Battop vs jlw Battop joysticks

JLW has a tighter spring, so the throw feels heavier The mounting plate is a different shape, more square If you buy the bat-top JLW-U There's only one ball-top that fits it (40mm) if you decided to switch it futher down the line JLF dims: http://www.starcab.net/product_info.php?cPath=219_151&produc...
