Re: Painted candys, any out there?

Just looked up the Ikaruga NNC to see what all the fuss was about. Wow! That's not just a paint job, that's a complete retheme as well. Really like the repainted light cover at the top. Nice touch :D .

Been hoping there would either be a Retron that supports N64 or one of these official Nintendo mini consoles that does. Would buy that in a heartbeat.

Re: Nintendo Classic Mini: Super Nintendo Edition :awe:

I used to have respect for our local independent gameshop until they started selling switch consoles for over 400 euros. Now i don't see why i should support them and just buy and the cheapest online webshop Terrible. Problem is, as long as people keep giving in to these scalpers they're going to k...

Re: Nintendo Classic Mini: Super Nintendo Edition :awe:

I refuse to buy download only games. Yeah, just like you, if I'm paying out teh cash moneys, I like to have something to hold in my hands. :fastlove: Often, the physical copy of a game can be had for less than the downloadable release. This irks me as it's way cheaper to provide a download of a tit...

Welcome! You should get one of those CPS3 SuperBios Carts that allow you to play all CPS3 games off the one cart.

Re: Introduce yourself here!

So I guess I should say hi. I'm Nathan, I'm from New Zealand and currently I'm studying at uni mainly but also working on the side as an arcade operator at a local bowling alley. My own personal interest with arcade machines started around 3 odd years ago a little while after I got into retro gamin...

Oh whoops. Fixed it in my original post. Just had someone link me to it and I looked it up and the only article that I saw had it was only posted a couple hours back. My apologies.

So this just leaked was released a few days ago, controller ports for the SNES Classic: https://s3.amazonaws.com/neowin/news/images/uploaded/2017/06/1498848320_screen_shot_2017-06-30_at_11.44.40_am.jpg Imo, they should not have had a plastic plate that folds down. It just looks atrocious. Should hav...

Unfortunately not, just keep an eye on the arcade section. That's where I find all my stuff.

Yeah, that's like 50 games, right?

@Myst7: Keep in mind that System16 hasn't been updated in a few years so you won't have the latest hardware and games on there. Heck, there are boards that get discovered every year that no one knew existed.

Was this the book that was getting some backlash due to the amount of history and information that was being provided in it? I think I had heard there was another Neo Geo book that was going to be released as well. Either way, will probably wait it out and see how people respond to the information p...

Re: Locating stuff on Yahoo Auctions Japan

I took a punt on a "junk" Capcom io. Reason given for junk status is that there is no environment to test as it's no longer in a game centre. I decided to take a chance based on the above explanation plus the io is a fairly simple piece of kit so the chances of it going faulty and giving out errors...

Congrats bro, happy to hear that it's going to be getting a good home. Were you bringing a truck or trailer to haul it away in or were you going to throw it in the back of your car? If you've got a truck or a trailer, you should be fine. If you're throwing it in the back of an SUV or Van, you might ...

I'm restoring an Astro atm. When it's fully stripped and I've got the cash I'm going to take it to an auto body shop and get the whole outside of the cab painted in appliance gloss white. I personally think it it will look awesome. Were you going to strip the current paint off of it first before ge...

Yeah, that looks great, radiant. Fixing the yellowing on my Neo 25 is going to be the last frontier on that cab. Everything else has been fixed or brought up to a spec I'm happy with. Still deciding between painting or some of the other color restoring options (non-painting). How hard was it to pul...
