Well built, very reliable, but do NOT put out -5V. For games not requiring -5V (75% of them don't), the Min-Dong will do you proud.

Re: Fake Wei-Ya PSU

Seems the easiest way to tell (i.e. the difference that can't really be hidden) is the AC screenprint on the front of the PSU. On the real ones, they are AC/L and AC/N, on the fakes just AC and AC.

Re: Fake Wei-Ya PSU

Plot thickens. I failed to notice that Wei-Ya had included a comparison. It seems the real Wei-Ya ones DO have WY-03C and WY-03CM on the box, but there are still a number of differences. The ones I was sent are definitely fake. Apologies if I have made anyone worry unduly, hopefully yours are real? ...

Fake Wei-Ya PSU

After getting burned with the Min-Dong PSU a while back (whereby they decided to stop putting in the components for -5V without telling the customers or changing the labelling), I felt it was time to bring some proper PSU in. Of the brands left making arcade parts, Wei-Ya (Huai I Electronics Co Ltd)...

So you know, the image host you are using is not safe for work (NSFW) as it has porn adverts all over it. :problem:

Not ideal to open a link about an arcade machine to have a video of some girl being reamed in the **** on my screen.

Try using Flickr.com...

Re: Pcb shops in London?

Facebook suggest they did until December, but their website is no more. They were a bit bobbins anyway, particularly their superguns. I emailed them a couple of weeks ago regarding a console conversion and to see if they were still on the go..I received an answer back from Paul a couple of days lat...

Re: Coin tray holders (not ash trays)

I have searched, and searched, and searched and I gotta be honest with you, if they were currently available in Japan I'd have found them by now as I spend so much time trawling for this sort of **** (which is how I found E-19 ashtrays in the first place). The only thing I have found (and have on ha...

I have every current Seimitsu stick except the new one here, so I'll do a quick check when the new ones arrive and see what (if any) differences there are.

Re: Incoming: New Releases from Seimitsu

Highly likely to be the pcb from an LS-56-01. Yes, but lets hope it has the LS-60 switches and not the 56 ones. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you, but I don't see it given the switch package type is different. They'd have to deliberately go buy pcb mounted versions of the LS-60 switches just for...
