Re: Type X3

Hi-a, Does Puzzle and Dragons require a special I/O card from the original touch screen cabinet to get past the splash screen, or should it boot and run in demo mode with just JVS attached. Aside from looking sexy, has anybody found a use for the X3 at home? :D J Hi-a, Feedback from other users was...

I've only used Shopping Mall Japan so far, they take very good care and know how to repack for international delivery.

Can't tell you how disappointed I was to see the price of the kit being over £550.

Re: New Daytona

Looks like it has potential if this is an early build. The way the car responds when you hit the wall looks super frustrating with the instant slow down, maybe have the car spin back out on track in some cool way or show damage? I wonder the players super bad or just struggling to get feedback thru ...

I got these but never played them as i'm basically only into shmups nowadays, so i will see if there is any interest and try to sell or trade them.

Thanks
£80-150

Re: Taito Vewlix JVS I/O Pinout ?

[quote="Stompp"]What's the part number on your JVS PCB? I checked mine and realize it differs from the one in the Vewlix L manual on the wiki. Most likely because it's from a Half Life 2 SD. Need to dig out the harness and see if I can figure out what goes where  How is the Half Life control p...

Re: Sega RingEdge Software Backup

<rant> Can that be still considered arcade gaming? No more custom hardware, no more coins, no more standalone experience... What does one need a cabinet for then? An high tech console with a massive DLP projector and sound amplifier would create a better experience then, no? Ahh sorry, didn't mean ...

Re: Sega RingEdge Software Backup

Played Triangle Service's Pengo on ALL-Net download and really enjoyed it and so subsequently found a NOS "Game Center Love With Pengo!" kit for RingEdge2 - without the dongle. I know the game has been released on the XBOX but it's not quite the same Is there a legit supplier still selling these ri...

Re: Tokyo Recommendations

I would also recommend the nakano broadway, mandrake galaxy is well stocked with games and books, the highlight for me was discovering a shop that sells the original hand drawn cells/transparencies from the manga films and tv shows at very reasonable prices. There is a independent arcade in the mall...

Interesting...maybe we should get muddymusic our Somerset correspondent on the case  Hopefully it was sold on way before the following recent clear out as the building is being redeveloped for student accommodation. http://www.rllmukforum.com/index.php?/topic/264884-arcade-machines-by-skip-w...

I know of a laser tag in Somerset that had Versus City from 96 till they shut in 2007ish, ran street fighter alpha's most of the time.
fairly sure it was imported rather than coming from another arcade.

Re: OpenJAMMA board

I really like the sound an OpenJAMMA board for home-brew development. Commercial JAMMA gaming boards do exist, the one linked is based around an AMD708e, JAMMA I/O but only VGA video out and probably costing more than £100. The JAMMA connector is there to meet gaming regulations in Italy, so the dev...

SUPER BUBBLE 2003, by Limenko a Korean company. Very funky JAMMA motherboard/cart based system with only a handful of games released. Bubble 2003 is a cross between bubble bubble and snow bros and plays really well with super cute graphics.
