Re: Forum questions, suggestions and bugs.

Thanks. I do get to log in, but I can't seem to find a way of changing the pic. I would need to upload it to a ftp or something, no?

Re: Forum questions, suggestions and bugs.

Oh, and I corrected the small issue of having two C233. Ofcourse one was supposed to be C230. So please make sure the picture in the wiki is updated. Thanks.

Re: Forum questions, suggestions and bugs.

Regarding the MS-2931 cap-map in the wiki, I'd please like to update it. I've made a small change on C923. It's supposed to have a 2200uF value, not 680. How can I correct this? The proper cap-map is here: http://www.albyhus2.se/_eget/monitors/MS-2931/Cap_map_2931%28OSD%29.jpg" Will some admin pleas...

Re: R-TUNED and HUMMER music [UPDATE]

Oh yes. I thought about that, but there're simply too many videos to edit. I'd leave them as they are, or just remove them if I expereince any further issues. I do apologise about the confusion in your case, there hasn't been many comments about these games in general so I believe that it isn't that...

Re: R-TUNED and HUMMER: Japanese vs. International/Oveseas M

I look at the playlist information and I noticed that I stated that the music replacement is an experiment. However, I have now added "ALL MUSIC IN THIS GAME HAS BEEN REPLACED. IT IS NOT SEGA'S ORIGINAL MUSIC." , so that there will be no more confusion.

Thanks.

Re: R-TUNED and HUMMER: Japanese vs. International/Oveseas M

Uno. You mean to tell me that you enjoy the original music in R-Tuned? I am honestly amazed. It is interesting. I was a bit ... distracted by the original tunes in the game while playing, that's why I selected the alternative 'softer' tunes. I'll need to add the info into the youtube clips, I presum...

Re: Retaining-clips for semiconductors

Thanks Prin. I'll be sure to save your link there.

Something else that crossed my mind, I could also use these:
http://www.elfa.se/elfa3~se_sv/elfa/ini ... &toc=20454

I'll just drill a hole somewhere above, and it should hold nicely.

Retaining-clips for semiconductors

These, when rusty are prone to divide, but not multiply. What i would need is a bag of them. But I can't seem to find one single piece anywhere that would fit the MTC 9000 heat sink. Alternatively I'd drill a hole and put some nylon screw in there. But I much more trust a healthy clip. Besides found...

Re: NANAO MS9 glass bubble capacitors

Yes, well let's hope they do nothing, unless one of the guns get overloaded.

But it would be nice to see one in action, wouldn't it? I'll check youtube...

Re: NANAO MS9 glass bubble capacitors

Aha! Thank you very much for this info. So it is a matter of 'proper design' then. Nice to know.

I could in practice simply bridge them then? Sort of .. put a nail in between?

Re: NANAO MS9 glass bubble capacitors

Thanks. That's good to know.

Looking at the schematics they are like fuses to GND for each color gun, I guess in case of some overload on the RGB output to the CRT. Smart design.

Re: NANAO MS9 glass bubble capacitors

Grant, have you ever needed to replace one of these spark gaps?

I can't imagine them to break / explode, not without outside physical force.

Re: NANAO MS9 glass bubble capacitors

Oh I see! Spark gaps! Thanks for the education. Very appreciated. All I need to do now is to figure out the swedish word for that. Are these components available at all as spares, somewhere? ... Rigth, seems I can rely on our Norwegian friends, http://no.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gnistgap "Gnistgap". Oh, I...

Re: Odd caps - Wei Ya C3129G

;) .. then you'll know where the fireworks are coming from. I did find this nice little cap at ELFA, http://www.elfa.se/elfa3~se_sv/elfa/init.do?item=65-002-49&hst=1 Plastic type 1uF 400V (but only 200 VAC (??)). How about putting this little plastic in place of the old electrolytic? I can't see any...

NANAO MS9 glass bubble capacitors

One other thing that has been on my mind, these small glass bulb-like caps on the neckboard of all the NANAO monitors. What are they? And with what type would they be best replaced with? We've got four of them, that's SG321, SG301, SG311 .. and one more. Note that they're not marked as "C..." as oth...

Re: Odd caps - Wei Ya C3129G

I see. Well if it's not that critical. I'm not sure exactly what these caps do. I may just remove one to see how it affects the picture.
