OK the loss of KC lost my Naomi leg chopping tutorial so here's a new one.
The Short NC / NNC style naomi is basically the same as a normal UNI panel wise - it Just has shorter legs - They are shorter by the length of the coin tube.

Re: Has anybody stripped Naomi uni leg covers?
I used Nitromers, fine wire wool & then sprayed 3 coats of clear car acrylic laquer over them - look minty - just got to get some Netcity leg stickers.

Re: WG U5000 - any use?
Unlikely, He insists they're worth £300 - but the tube is an "A68AGD01X" so they are 29" and should be a straight swap for either cab, pity the chassis has got a poor reputation for reliability.

Re: WG U5000 - any use?
The tube has terrible burn-in on both machines and one has crap convergence too. Both chassis are fine. I have a 29" VGA presentation monitor with a knackered chassis thats an exact fit in the Egret I might email jomac with the spec & yoke readings. He wants £150 inc VAT for them and they are NOS st...

WG U5000 - any use?
Probably one for grantspain but... I have two cabs both with knackered monitors. 1) Egret-II 2) Naomi universal There's someone selling NOS WG U5000's which he says are 27" but looking at the spec sheet look like the UK 29" size. The schematic has a jumper for 15/24Khz so would be Ideal for the Egre...

Re: Is there a Supergun that outputs component?
I don't know of any - however I do have a JAMMA -> VGA upscaler that works quite well for most PCB's (not the funny sync ones).
I can run my PANA on my PC monitor or using VGA in on my LCD tv as I was having wierd sync issues running JAMMA boards via RGB scart.

Re: Sigma AV7000 composite video problem
I've seen that fault before - I'll have to do some digging, can't rember exactly Voltage levels & sync on green ring a bell - I'd use svideo anyway - much better picture quality.

Re: Patching Japanese games
I assume you mean the game for Naomi arcade system GDL-0028 Melty blood Act cadenza To run it you would need a naomi-1 GDrom system with a Japanese BIOS fitted to the Naomi-1 motherboard (its socketed). Your probably looking at £50 for the game disk & dongle for version A and £100-150 for version B ...

Converting a Pana twin/pana custom to 240V and PAL
Usual disclaimers apply (ie dont mess around with mains voltages if you dont know what your doing and its not my fault if you blow yourself/kit up) Converting a Pana twin/pana custom to 240V and PAL Its realy simple to convert any of the PANA Superguns to 240V and PAL. 1) Disconnect from mains and a...

Pana twin/Pana custom manual
If anyone needs a copy of this I have a scan that I passed through google translate but I think the pictures explain most of it.
Pana Custom pinouts etc are the same - but it doesn't have the extra Mahjong buttons & is a little smaller.
