Re: [Project] Capcom Mini Cute Cabinet Production

A reproduction Pony-II 19" would be ace - not much bigger footprint to a Cute but more usable and should be simpler to fabricate - I still regret selling my 25" version.

Using taito fastio/jvs card in normal PC?

I've got a spare taito type-x jvs card and a type-x3 jvs/fastio card.

Can they be used in a standard PC so I can stick my MAME PC in the vewlix?

I'm after functionality like the JVS-PAC.

Re: Installing a sega i/o in a vewlix?

Finally to map out the power...

Taito -> Sega V3.

P1.
01 (+12V) -> CN2 - 01
02 (+12V) -> CN2 - 02
03 (GND) -> CN2 - 04
04 (GND) -> CN2 - 05

P2.
01 (+12V) -> N/C
02 (+5V) -> CN7 - 01
03 (+5V) -> CN7 - 02
04 (GND) -> CN7 - 03
05 (GND) -> CN7 - 04

Re: Installing a sega i/o in a vewlix?

I'm thinking - the easiest way to do this is to make a Sega to Vewlix power adapter that merges P1/P2 on Taito to CN2/CN7 on the Sega one and then make a new 60-pin connector that has the Vewlix plugs for J, K and C.

Re: Installing a sega i/o in a vewlix?

This is from the fastio manual (and the 60-pin is supposed to be the same as the JVS PCB).... Taito - 60 pin:- 01 (+12V) 02 (+12V) 03 (+5V) 04 (+5V) 05 (ADC0) 06 (ADC1) 07 (ADC2) 08 (ADC3) 09 (ADC4) 10 (ADC5) 11 (ADC6) 12 (Analogue-GND) 13 (Analogue+5V) 14 (Analogue-GND) 15 (Coin SW1) 16 (Coin SW2) ...

Pity the picture of the pinout is missing from here and the wiki - this is from the fastio manual (and the 60-pin is supposed to be the same as the JVS PCB).... fastio-pinout.JPG Taito - 60 pin:- 01 (+12V) 02 (+12V) 03 (+5V) 04 (+5V) 05 (ADC0) 06 (ADC1) 07 (ADC2) 08 (ADC3) 09 (ADC4) 10 (ADC5) 11 (AD...

Installing a sega i/o in a vewlix?

I bought a pair of vewlix F from John's order and they turned up with fastio cards in them.... All my stuff is JVS. I managed to pick up one taito JVS card so one cab has been reconfigured. So far I've been unable to source another Taito card but I do have a couple of the Sega ones. I know the conne...

Re: Neo Geo MV2F on Egret 2

I've got the parts needed - I'll try to knock one up over the next couple of nights. What pin is your "test" button connected to and is fire-5 connected to anything?

That adapter routes mono to the jamma edge connector and stereo to the 4-pin connector.

Also has connector for cart-select on button 5.

I used one to test the multi-slots I just sold...

Re: System 256 and Boardmaster Supergun

The two I had, one had a Sanwa SWN-7F the other a CS-070 both are rated at:- +5V @ 10A +12V @ 1A -5V @ 1A Personally I'd use a small PC power supply with an ATX-Naomi power adapter to run the 246/256 as it'll be cheaper than a SUN PSU and 100V stepdown to run it. That way the BM is "Stock". There is...

Re: System 256 and Boardmaster Supergun

He'd have a job - the standard PSU in a boardmaster is the same rating as the PANA - 7A on +5 and 1A on +12 & -5. I swapped mine out for a bigger PSU as I kept blowing fuses.

Re: Repairs to metal and powder coating. (Vewlix CP)

The Taito plates are like rocking horse sh*t to locate and always seem to be missing on panels sold on YAJ.

That's why the repro 2L14B panels I'm going to make will have the bolts in sanwa/semitsu patterns as the taito square plates will cost the same as the panels do to get fabricated....

Re: Sega / Vewlix CP CAD files

Going to get a batch of the vewlix V2 made. Has anyone else made any using the file and do Taito's overlays fit?

Also measuring my panels they are 1.5mm thick + overlay giving almost 2mm total thickness.

SHMUPS wise you're better feeding the TATE'd Windy than the Vewlix.
