Re: Testing a board for faults

Yep thanks for that. Had a quick look from work and seems to be some very useful info there. Will see if I can get to the bottom of the problem tonight.

Re: NAOMI versus NAOMI II

I'm no expert but assuming the Naomi 1 games were designed before the Naomi 2 was conceived/available then the developers won't have added in any extras to benefit from the later system. No different from playing an Xbox game on a 360. I am prepared to eat a whole chocolate fudge cake if I'm wrong t...

Testing a board for faults

I just bought a Raiden board and when it turned up I tried it on both my cabs and got nothing - no picture, no sound. I checked on here but couldn't find any related threads or tutorials so can someone put me out of my misery and advise how I test the board to try and identify the problem. I have a ...

Re: Whats the worst arcade game you own?

I got some god-awful "racing" game called F-1 Dream along with two other games (which I wanted). am keeping it as a test board as I really wouldn't care if it got fried (at which point I'll find out it's incredibly rare and worth lots!).

Oh if only I had a girlfriend who lived on the other side of the world.

Re: Do you remember the first time?

Well this game (along with Double Dragon and 1942) cemented my love of video games and ultimately got me interested in having my own cab at home.

Still missing an original 1942 PCB by the way... ;)

Re: Do you remember the first time?

Mmmmmmm well first arcade-related purchase was one of those woodies on the 'bay converted to MAME (yes I know - sacrilege). Had issues with it so got rid and then discovered KC (my saviour) and ended up buying a Naomi from Craig but with no games (bear with me here). So got on the 'bay again and pic...
