Taito F3 fan: what exactly does it cool??

Hiya! I have some F3 motherboards in my collection now and as you can guess their fans are quite annoying. They are 20x20x10mm ones AFAIR and their airflow is laughable which brings the question: what's the point of their existence? Is there any IC on the board heating up or they just installed them...

I think you are missunderstanding restoring methods of pre-cps hardware. Method published by ArcadeHacker is related to restore the pcb to a fully working state without modifying any part of the pcb and without replacing any roms. You mean the 4 anchor points glued to the tube? They seem pretty solid to me , the tube in question is a brand new one so they don't feel rigid/cooked. The truth is that I am not that keen on doing that but it annoys me so much having payed good money for it and have it not look as good as possible....

so I guess my theory was silly and I have to rotate by breaking free the 4 anchor points... nothing is easy anymore :shifty: :lol:

Hello! I noticed on my 28" videocolor tube that need to make a small adjustment in the yoke, specifically rotate it a little to the left so the picture is level.
