Re: Hantarex Polo 25" capacitor list/map and recap log

C108 / C107 : http://i.imgur.com/ZoAKz1J.jpg you are correct, C107 is the "single capacitor setup" - I will correct that C146: http://i.imgur.com/ZiBqeK7.jpg I have 4 Polo 25" chassis: 2 of them have 4.7uf/63v caps , 2 of them have 1uf/100v ... it either does not matter or it's a revision thing... w...

Re: The craziest Atari Tetris bootleg ever!

Doorbell chip with pre-installed tunes. Brilliant if you come to think of it , cheap - makes music and presents a working thing for someone to buy at a fraction of the original price... it's not like anyone pays attention inside a crowded arcade :awe: :awe: :awe:

Re: Neo Geo MV1FZ sound issues

oh great, didn't have the chance yet to look at my carts , nice to see that they are both suitable. I'll just socket the rom in question and have the option to either use the pcb for test or game, hopefully there is space to do that :)
thanks again!

Re: Neo Geo MV1FZ sound issues

thanks for that, I see I also need a cartridge and replace a rom in it with the M1 rom from the diagnostics bios. I hope Metal Slug or Samurai Shodown are suitable , they are the only MVS games I have atm

Neo Geo MV1FZ sound issues

Hiya! I noticed a problem with a MV1FZ + Metal Slug combo I have , it seems that at certain parts of the game the sound cuts off (not completely you just hear half the stuff) and returns after a while - this always happens at the same places... :eh: For example: - when you reach this area in the fir...

Re: Hantarex Polo 25" capacitor list/map and recap log

Well, some caps are bulging - even the 220uf/400v snap-in in the PSU area and that cap isn't supposed to be stressed much... I see no reason not to spend some 5-10eur more and get Nichicon ones for example instead of the LeLons I can get locally . The originals were not crappy ones, chemicon/daewoo/...

Hantarex Polo 25" capacitor list/map and recap log

Hiya! I am making this thread to document the process of recapping an EU Hantarex POLO 25" monitor , I decided to do that because after searching I only found partial info on the capacitors needed , or scattered info buried in threads or cap kits that are missing capacitors... maybe it's a regional ...

Re: Help fixing eprom on bootleg Tumble Pop

thanks for the help, the rom was indeed thumbpop.19 - burned a 27SF020 in it's place and the game works fine (without the rom there are missing graphics) sadly (like in mame when you run the bootleg set 2) the game suffers from background music problems: the bgm stops prematurely and loops like a br...

Re: Resurrecting a Hyper Street Fighter II

nope, there are many different "models" depending on what you need... 8bit ones, 16bit ones, serial ones, parallel ones, etc etc
just find what your board needs and write it here.
btw here is a review of the TL866CS: https://www.hasntfiguredouthowtoembedyoutubeproperly.com/watch?v=FLG03f_ua5g

Re: Resurrecting a Hyper Street Fighter II

TL866CS is a good choice nowdays for cheap programmers, post what eproms you need to burn and I can confirm if they are supported by the programmer - chances are you won't even need an adaptor

Help fixing eprom on bootleg Tumble Pop

Hiya! I started servicing a Tumble Pop bootleg pcb I purchaced recently with my cabinet, I understand it's only a bootleg but it's an old board and I'd like to have it in top-shape until I get a real one.... plus it's retro by now so I can't find it in my heart to just leave it rot , I don't mind ha...

Re: Introduce yourself here!

Hi everyone! just registered since after a couple of years of searching I finally bought an arcade cabinet (why so long searching you ask? arcade cabinets are banned here by law since ~8 years ago or so, the geniuses in the government could not control slot-machines and decided to ban all games toge...
