Re: Whats the worst game you ever bought ?

A bootleg of Phoenix. Was sold as original. Fortunately I found a true original Phoenix some weeks later.

Re: Whats it worth?

Thinking of selling my Asian XBOX 360, with games. How much would an Asian (220V) XBOX 360 Arcade console, with HDMI connector, built in 256 MB memory, one controller, 20G HD, XBOX Live Arcade Game DVD, in mint condition including mint box cost? And what about used, but mint games, like DS, Raiden 4...

Testing the picture tomorrow.
What is the purpose of this D connection? And why is it sometimes disconnected (which is also the case in two of my IC 09 cabs as I just discovered)?

Most of these games had a dip switch to flip the display, so you need to set them up individually if they are different to how your monitor is.
thanks, flip flop is the way to go then for some games.

strange Mameplus behaviour

I recently got the Mametopia PCB from Xenepp, which has xmame64 installed on it. Together with the also installed soft15khz and Mala frontend this is a superb emulation setup. However, first thing I did when I got the PCB is that I installed Mameplus v.0130u2 (so I never used xame64). I rotated the ...

Re: Official MAMEtopia PCB support/upgrades

Thanks, found the link. But I also found another tool with which you can easily map joystick buttons to keys: joy to key. with this utility I mapped one of the pushbuttons to ESC, and now I can close the emu's I had problems with and automatically return to the gamelist in Mala. So my problem is fi...

Re: Official MAMEtopia PCB support/upgrade thread

I have a few emulators installed on my Mametopia PCB of which I can close the game and return to the gamelist by pressing a button. These are Stella, Zsnes and Rocknes. In these emu's I have the possibility to assign the escape function of the emulator to a button. so no problems there. But wit othe...

RGB problem with Xexex PCB

I received my recent purchased original Xexex board today. I installed it immediately in my New Astro City, and fired it up. The games did start allright (although I hear a repeating 'pop' sound until after the rom check). I immediately noticed that I only had the green color on screen, and I pushed...

tri-sync NAC or Egret3

I have a NAC and a Rodotron 666a chassis which has yet to be installed. However, I might consider to buy an Egret 3 instead (or as an extra :P ) , but I'm wondering which monitor will have a better 15K picture (after I tri-synced the NAC). I like scanlines, but they shouldn't be to thick or dark (as...

Strange issue with ArcadeVGA and Barco 15Khz monitor

I have a mame PC with an ArcadeVGA (an old type, with 3 connectors, one of which is a SVideo connector). This setup is connected to a New Astro City through a JPAC, and everything works OK. I recently got a Barco DCD 2840 15Khz monitor. At the back there is a 9 pins RGB connector. When I hook the ma...

issue with an old Samsung monitor

I have an old 20" Samsung 15KHZ arcade monitor with a Kortek chassis (monitor is mounted horizontally), and I have a width problem with it. For instance when I play a MVS game I loose about 3/4 of an inch of game image on both left and right side of the monitor (the image is to width). I tried of co...

strange issue with neogeo games

In my Astro city I have a setup with a PC, ArcadeVGA, JPAC and Mame. In fact I installed two versions of mame: a Mame 0.90 setup (winmame32) and a Mame32plus 0.118 setup, both with appropriate romsets. in both Mame ini's the video setup is the same (ddraw, no HW stretch, etc). I made the game ini's ...

Re: Removing scratches from monitors

It's nice to see that people are still giving their screen the 'get rid of the scratched anti-glare coating and become a shining baby again' treatment. Although most do hesitate at first, everybody ends up feeling happy and 100% satisfied with the result. :D

Re: tri-sync Egret 2

yes there is some minor compression on the right Yes, I see it. But would it effect gameplay much? There is just a little compression. However, I have a NAC and I did put up the same testgrid (from a MVS motherboard) on my cab and it is perfect. No compression, and the blue and white gridlines are ...
