Re: Steamlink in Vewlix Cabinet, removal of 220v PSU

I had a steamlink setup in my Vewlix C which has the Sanwa monitor in it worked fine with a HDMI to DVI lead. however I found the steamlink too laggy for SFV (over a 1gb wired link) so I ended up putting a PC in there instead. so depending on what kind of games you want to play you may want to go do...

Re: Crazy Taxi Sub

Subwoofer foam? What exactly are we talking about? I pulled apart a CT sub recently, and any foam inside the box is there to dampen the sound not secure the sub. You sure the actual enclosure is OK and not broken? I think he may be referring to the foam rubber around the paper cone that attaches it...

Re: Crazy Taxi Sub

I had an upright Naomi with a Clarion Car Sub, was a smooth blue colour so looked ok
sounded more powerful than the one in my crazy taxi cab but not cab shaking!!

I can post a pic if you really need it?

Re: New Net City and London victorian houses

I had to dismantle my NNC to get it through the front door
So I was lucky it was not raining on the day as it was sat on the drive looking sorry for itself
It's a really easy cab to dismantle and rebuld
Just make sure you have someone on hand to help with the monitor removal

Re: So in the future when CRT's are too costly...

They don't make 29" 4:3 LCD monitors, despite some rumours recently about some Chinese ones.
So you would have to either squeeze in widescreen one :( or fit a tiny 21" 4:3 LCD

Just buy a life time or CRTs now :awe:

Both of those are really cool
But the Astro needed more work on the control panel, that lets it down

Re: Replacement 17VAC x2 Naomi amp transformer?

Most European Naomi cabs I've seen have the 2x 17v outputs from the main stepdown transformer in the cab so you don't need the small 100v to 2x 17v transformer

Re: What are the most silent arcade buttons

Even with silent buttons and sticks the cab will still make a lot of sound
you would have to put acoustic foam in the control panel to help silence it

or just wear some headphones so you don't hear the wife complaining!!

Re: will a A68KSA30X fit into a NAC

The Toshiba and the Hitachi have a different curvature both fit in the NAC but the bezel is different may need to pad out the gap with black foam

Re: Bubble Bobble Arcade Machine Garbage Graphics Issue - Any Suggestions?

Would be much cheaper to buy another working BB bootleg board or seek out the specialist services of User Vectorglow / iron Giant (forum dependant) to repair it for you

Re: Bubble Bobble Arcade Machine Garbage Graphics Issue - Any Suggestions?

From my limited knowledge of bubble bobble bootleg boards I can tell you that the CPU and sound parts of the game are on the top side and all the gfx roms are on the bottom Easy things to do would be to carefully disconnect and re seat the ribbon cable that joins the two boards together. Check that ...
