Re: HD Cabinets, Vewlix etc

Is reaction time and lag the same on LCD monitors? I just recently saw some 4K Monitor with 1ms (34") reaction time and thats the fastes I've ever seen. 2ms (was 27") was the fastes I personaly had and my current one has 4ms (is 32"). Would be nice to have a HD-cab one could place one of those 4K mo...

Re: Cleaning a Monitor

I think I've ask the same some time back...
Go with the air and the brush and use a towel and maybe some alcohol for the tube. I wouldn't wash anything with water. It doesn't take long till there is new dust.

Re: NAOMI 2 with GPU problem?

If it was genuinely ok when the seller had it (and you haven't been sold a dud unit?), i would guess the damage could have been caused during delivery. It is a common problem with Naomi2 boards. There is a thread here about it: http://forum.arcadeotaku.com/viewtopic.php?t=31277 I don´t really think...

Re: Little Restauration for OK Baby Cab

Does it have a 28" or 29" monitor? I´ve seen that on the side decals it says Screen Size 28" - 29". That confuses me a little. Many cabs have different Tubes for an model. The Baby cabs comes with Orion(28") or Pentranic (28" or 29"). Mine got an 29 Pentranic. But i will swap it for an 28" Grundig ...

Re: Little Restauration for OK Baby Cab

For 200 I would definately take one or two. I would prefer 25" cabs these days, but they are on the rare side. And 200 is OK :D . It's a cab one can be creative without destroying something. You get me?! Never saw one on offer. What forum was it?

Re: Little Restauration for OK Baby Cab

I think the OK Baby and Pony Mark IV look very similar. You could do a optical conversion and go into the Pony style.
Were do you got/get an OK Baby in Austria or Germany? Are there more of them around? What is the price tag for one?

Re: Replace 28" CRT with 26" LCD

Do you have 4 Pony Mark II 28 without working Monitor? Or is there any other 28" cab I don´t know of? I would try to get those monitors repaired or put some CRT TV´s in there. 28" CRT TV´s are very common, at least here in Germany there are 28" everywere. Were are you from? Maybe I could get one of ...

Re: How to remove antistatic coating/scratches arcade monitor

Isn't the antistatic coating there for a reason? It just sounds like a bad idea to get rid of it? :?: Yeah, that was what I was thinking too. But I think the only thing taht will happen is that you have to remove dust from the screen more often. Does someone know what material this antistatic coati...

Re: Cap List/Cap Kit for Toshiba D29CQ51 ?

Does this issue appear only on the text? Have you tried another monitor? It is not possible to see it at constanly moving objects in game. But with a cross hatch image you can also see it. It´s over the whole screen, but it vibrates more on the lower half. When playing, one can overlook it, dependi...

Re: Cap List/Cap Kit for Toshiba D29CQ51 ?

Get a video made of the problem. Yeah, I´ve done that right now. It´s really hard to show the problem in a video, but you can get an idea. Look at the flickering around the letters. http://eventview.eu/video/show_366053 When you sit in front of the screen, it looks like the letters are moving from ...

Re: Cap List/Cap Kit for Toshiba D29CQ51 ?

The caps on these chassis very rarely leak or even bulge. I don't think there's a cap list for this monitor. Fortunately, you have the chassis in front of you so it's as easy as taking a pen and notepad and writing down what you have. Unless someone here knows better (Grant?), I would start with th...

With glas, you can polish it the same way as a monitor tube would be polished.
