Guys, does any one have a pic of a DIY VS harness kit? I have an idea of what is needed but I want to be sure Im doing this correctly

If you don't have the bracket, you can get a solution like my spacers, you would need to solder some bolts first. It's a lot of work, but your stick will sit at the right height. It's what I do for my custom panels.
