Re: Blast City PSU recap necessary?

As Davey D said, is that witht he 5V pot turned up?... every time you add an adapter in line you'll get a (small) drop. 4.75 is within (5% margin but NAOMI system are mega senitive to voltage). looking in the cab from the front towards the PSU you'll notice two small holes in the metal.. behind thes...

Re: Kraut Buster

I've just realised weapon switching isn't working properly for me. ie. If I walk over a weapon I start using it, whereas NG DEV say: [Gameplay Menu] - Auto Weapon Switch Pickup [on] Automatically tries to select a slot for the new weapon. E.g. if you have an empty slot the new weapon always is put ...

Re: Kraut Buster

1.00 or 1.01? I've noticeed with my game it's impossible to get the first coin on the first level with the female character.... the two guys, fine... Bug or feature? I'll check the weapon switch later on my copy.

Re: Kraut Buster

I think I have found a bug though. If I pre-set my name in the settings (as I said, there's an option for everything), the hardware reboots after the high score table. Can someone confirm and I'll let NG DEV know (if they don't already). EDIT: I'm still finding the motherboard (MV-1FZ I think) does...

Re: exA-Arcadia

I just want to see more variety in the remaining arcades we have in the UK.... These days the places to find new stuff is bowling alleys etc and they have a tendency to be SUPER conservative with the stuff they get (and in my local on, ONLY NAMCO games). Anything that can be an experiment, stand out...

Re: A new Neo Geo game just announced...

I got my shipping notification yesterday (Standard MVS Gamecenter kit). Ordered October 2017, Status "shipped". Did see somewhere they were batching by both order date AND location in the world...

Re: Nano MS9 super slow to start and dim

and by "correct" I am assuming this to mean: - The right (exact) micro-farad rating - Correct spacing of feet and polarity - equal or better voltage capability - equal or better temperature - Exact same "type" (i.e. electrolytic vs other random polymer etc). Hopefulyl i've not missed anything. Learn...

Nano MS9 super slow to start and dim

Hello all. I’ve got an issue with a nano ms9 su monitor and from reading around I’m not sure how to narrow down the possible issues. When powered on it takes a really long time to show a picture (metal slug boots to title screen before anything is visible). Even after 15 mins warm up the image is no...

Re: Blast City resetting when CP is pressed down?

Do disable the switch. mine was "fine" but could be momentarily triggered by accidently bashing the door, coin door or foot plate. most annoying to reset mid game. Zip tied it up nnd not had an issue since. Also check the cables running in to the BACK of the switch. check nothing is bent or fouling ...

Re: Recommendation for Horizontal Puzzle Games

Yeah MD3 is great. MPE is more fun in 2 player but MD3 feels like a more complete single player game. Japanese version is best, setting the MVS to English removes a lot. Whenever they rerelease a Magical Drop game it seems to be number 2. I wonder why that is. Stuff is removed? I didn't know that!....

Re: Recommendation for Horizontal Puzzle Games

Magical Drop 3! For the Neo Geo MVS is brilliant and cheaper than Money Puzle Exchanger! 2 is also good but, you know... get the latter game.

Re: A new Neo Geo game just announced...

and guess who bought the last piece :D There were "2" left when I started the order process and none when I finished (and I only ordered 1). So it could have been you or me I guess! ;) . Always liked the look of the game but knew they had a habbit of taking a long time. So I waited. I guess now the...

Re: Blast City Coin Mech Help

I had to totally disassemble mine and clean away gunk and rust and then lubricate that weight area where your's are getting stuck. I then adjusted the top screw a little to get it to accept UK 2p coins (VERY similar to 1HKD). it honestly looks like it's almost there....

Re: Blast City Coin Mech Help

Have you checked inside the mech for a sticker telling you what Type? My Blast has the "100 Yen" sticker on the cab but the coin mech was a "1 Hong Kong Dollar" trype mechanism. Even then it needed a good dose of WD40 on all the joints and then a bit of bike teflon lube before it would reliably acce...
