Re: Initial D Cabinet - Monitor "Upgrade"

I know that this is an old thread, but I just got a pair of Initial D cabinets a little over a month ago. The monitors were pretty bad off. One was OK and the other was too far gone to even be considered - super dim. I decided to replace them with 27" LCD's There is a slight stretching with the...

Raspberry Pi as SCSI interface for GD-Rom

It would be cool to use this to be able to use standard Dimm boards and not just Net-Dimm boards:

Chihiro Net Dimm - Naomi 1 question

I just picked up a Chihiro 512mb Net Dimm - can this be used on the Naomi 1 main board?

I am pretty sure that it can just want some confirmation either way.

Re: NaoPi - a Raspberry Pi as Naomi loader

FYI I am using a straight cable.

I will take some photos of the arcade tomorrow. It is pretty small there about 30 machines.

The big show will be in June in Tacoma at the Convention center. It should be about 300 machines.

Re: NaoPi - a Raspberry Pi as Naomi loader

I got mine to work. It was the USB stick that was the problem it seems. I put the file on it to create the log and it did not put anything onto it. That made me very suspicious so I went and bought a new stick. Put the games on to it and it fired right up. This is awesome and so much better I think ...

Re: NaoPi - a Raspberry Pi as Naomi loader

I can not seem to get it to work with my Naomi. I used WindowsDiskImager and I plugged the Pi into a monitor and saw that it booted into your system. I created a folder called "naopi" on a USB drive and plugged it in. I set the NetDimm to DHCP. When my Naomi started it just sat on the &quo...

Re: Getting an Astro City down a narrow staircase

I have had to disassemble a New Astro City to make it down into a friends basement. The biggest issues I had were not labeling the specific screws. I accidentally used the wrong screws when putting it back together and had to take most of it apart again when I realized it. I bagged each type of scre...

Re: Multijamma adapter for New Astro City?

I want to do something similar. I think that there is room, but you would need to remove the coin box and maybe find a way to add a fan.

I have looked into those boards for switching as well.

I want to add a bunch of Shooter boards that I have into one cabinet.

Re: Introduce yourself here!

Hey,

I have about 5 or 6 candy cabinets and about 45 total machines. I actually have no good idea of exactly how many different boards I have.

Currently I have been working on a lot of Naomi issues and trying to make some repairs to my Lupin the Shooting cabinet.

I live in Tacoma, WA.
