Re: Capcom Artwork, Flyers, Standee plus more...

The SSF2X standee that you have is different to the ones I've seen before as your one doesn't seem to have the additional parts on the top corners, like the one below; https://i.imgur.com/0wdCHeC.jpg With that said it is difficult to see the extra bits in the instruction sheet, so I wonder if there ...

Re: M2: Complete Works Documentary

Hearing about the PS2 shenanigans they had to do to get SPACE HARRIER running (using the PS1 processor to run the sound and music), makes me wonder if ARIKA tried such a trick when they were trying to get Ketsui on the PS2. Apparently ARIKA had 4 stages up and running, but were unable to get all of ...

Re: M2: Complete Works Documentary

Good Grief, I really didn't know much about M2, but bloody hell they are amazing! Can't believe what they did for Fantasy Zone II, and knew nothing about the GIGA DRIVE project, really will have to get that SEGA RALLY game too, jeez so much I need to check out. I will probably also re-watch this doc...

Re: Capcom Home Arcade

Price is pretty reasonable considering it uses sanwa buttons and sticks (if I read that correctly). I mean look at the prices of Hori sticks etc. I like the Capcom logo, but I'm not sure about the shape of the whole stick being the logo. Now if they made a Boardmaster style or HSS 0130 or Hori vewli...

Re: Power Instinct Matrimelee - history and gameplay

I really like this game, and it was my first 'from new' Neo Geo game back in '03. I remember seeing some loke test footage and I thought it looked really interesting. It's shame that they nerfed the soundtrack for the EUR/US BIOS, - removing the tracks with Japanese vocals. Also I am sure that some ...

Re: Neo SC-19 ... Rust in Piece?

I have a bodyshop lined up for the welding that needs to be done. Whilst I have been working on clearing up the rust (and it has not been too bad), they may as well do the whole job on the shell. About the side art, I note that the AO Wiki has the files, presumably these can be printed out via a pro...

Re: Neo Geo MV2F on Egret 2

Actually I never looked into the stereo thing till now, as my E2 does not have the amplifier that allows stereo through phono. I assumed (wrongly) that there was no Stereo on a stock E2. But it seems that the stock has stereo through a JST 4pin plug. This was intended for the TAITO F3 setup. I also ...

hi, can you confirm you are using this on an egret 2 with either a 2/4/6 slot? cheers.
Using a 4 slot on an E2, works fine.

Re: Neo SC-19 ... Rust in Piece?

Its not great buddy, but truthfully a lot of what is shown here can be treated, as others have said. There are loads of products that kill the rust, often turning it black then back to metal. You will then need to file/sand/wet'n'dry the metal back and it'll be ready to coat again. Sand blasting mi...

Re: Neo SC-19 ... Rust in Piece?

It was advertised as 'some rust damage', I asked about holes due to rust and was advised that it had some on the base of the cab.

It's only upon dismantling that the full extent is revealed.

Re: Neo SC-19 ... Rust in Piece?

That rust's as bad as on my VW Bay.... Completely strip the cab down, taking plenty of pics as you do it, if you have one use an ultrasonic cleaner on all the nuts/bolts fastenings you plan to re-use. Wirebrush off all the loose rust, clean it down and assess how bad the shell is from that point. Y...

Neo SC-19 ... Rust in Piece?

Received a SC-19 from Ronnie yesterday. The Good: Tube is great, lovely picture. Hood is in good shape too. The Bad: 4-Slot is faulty - not sure that we found someone in the UK to fix these, fortunately I already had another 4 Slot. Some ugly dents on bottom corners of cab and some holes too. The Ug...

Re: A new Neo Geo game just announced...

If they are only making 500 carts although I think they may have made more than that (excluding any future production runs). So if they had 2 people working on it full time (that's going to be 85-90% of the cost) they probably won't actually break even. Bearing that they over-run the development tim...

Sven Ruthner (someone who is working on the Wonderswan Game Firelancer), made a few tweets on Cave sprite work, where they didn't always get it right. https://twitter.com/the_ptoing/media https://twitter.com/the_ptoing/status/1070596349559750656 https://twitter.com/the_ptoing/status/1071700380239695...
