Re: Want to power model 2 sound board from naomi amp

You can run a Model 2 sound amp from Naomi stepdown (17VAC), but obviously you could just use a Naomi sound amp for model 2. The second part of that occured to me actually, but then I wondered why the sound board would be revised for naomi cabs and....actually you know what, I honestly dont know wh...

Want to power model 2 sound board from naomi amp

The naomi psu amp has a 4 pin amp up connector that powers the naomi sound amp(anyone know what voltage this outputs?). Anyway, the model 2 soundboard only has 2 pins used for power that seemed to be labelled 'AC'. So Im wondering.....is it just a case of taking 2 out of the 4 pins from the naomi ps...

Re: It's for free!

I'll take them please. :) EDIT: Sorry - looking at AA Route Finder it's too far unfortunately... :( I'd be happy to pay for a courier and for your troubles though if you'd consider it... See if firebug definitely doesn't want them and we'll sort something out if you want. Hey Pete, still want them,...

Re: It's for free!

I got a pair of Naomi universal leg covers, cut down(very professionally)and all the original lettering intact obviously i ain't gonna want to ship them but there if anyone wants them they're here for the taking. Not many marks on them either so i suppose they'd be ideal to strip and put new art on....

You should put it back though so the posting makes sense, and people realise not to bring their pets near me, especiall...

Re: Jamma audio through naomi amp?

Well by all means stick it straight in, but then if it blows your amp you'll know why... Hey its arcades, anyone who has never had some kind of technical enlightment hasn't done it right :) Man, i can't wait until your post-count gets to 1000 and you get a custom title... Where you wrote 'Tig...

Re: Jamma audio through naomi amp?

Maybe the tiger had to open its mouth so wide to accomodate, it dislocated its jaws and couldnt exert any pressure :awe:

Think I might leave out the amp on these 2 particular cabs though. Seems silly to use them if not needed, looks like theyre on the way to the selling forum.

Re: Jamma audio through naomi amp?

Let's say a speaker is max 10w output. And you have a seven watt amplified signal coming from a board. And you then amplify that amplified signal further using the a ten watt amplifier - what do you suspect the outcome will be? Let me put it another way - just because you might put your **** in a t...

Re: Jamma audio through naomi amp?

Ive built close to 100 consolised systems/ superguns in the last 18 months, never had an issue with someone coming back and saying their TV was damaged. This has put it into perspective though- the monitor and amp are essentially a TV set, so running Jamma sound directly into it wont be a problem. I...

Re: Jamma audio through naomi amp?

Yep, that'll do the trick. I've read people banging on about them degrading sound quality, but can't say it's been noticeable on the one I have in my Supergun. We are dealing with cab speakers of course, so even the best inputs will only sound so good. Cheers for the advice, but why do you have one...

Jamma audio through naomi amp?

Hey, I know you can connect the jamma sound direct to the speakers on on a naomi cab (when the cab is jamma wired), but was just wondering, would it still work if the jamma sound was routed to the naomi amp, and from the amp to the speakers? Reason I ask is because I really want to keep the amp in t...
