Re: RetroBrighting Impress.

Everyone is lightbrighting nowadays, check these out, no chemcals, just left out in the Sun. Maybe you could just stick the yellow bits on the balcony? https://www.vintageisthenewold.com/lightbrighting-your-beloved-retro-devices/ https://twitter.com/bitsofbas/status/1128375574269956097 https://twitt...

Re: Seimitsu SE/RE with Sanwa JLF-TP-8Y ?

The stock plates aren't an interchangeable fit. You either need the Taito plates or something like this:

But you'll need to add spacers so the JLF sits at the correct height.

Re: Hey I stream on my arcade cabinets

Apparently the current can travel back up the stream and really toot your flute.

Same if you stream off a bridge onto overhead lines above a train track.

Re: PC Gone Mad!

Still using my 10+ year-old LGA1366 PC which is excellent at 2550 x 1600 with a GTX 970 and 6-core Xeon I bought over a year ago (£200 of upgrades then)

Couldn’t tell you exact framerates off the top of my head but it’s 60+ average for Titanfall 2, Doom, Overwatch and Destiny 2.

Re: I'm currently playing:

Destiny 2.

Downloaded it when it was being given away free, with the intention of only running through the campaign. Now I can’t stop playing it, ever since getting a machine gun that drops lightning bolts onto your target. It reminds me a lot of the Heaven Punisher from Phantasy Star Online.

Console light guns don’t age well in my experience. Maybe it’s just gone on the wonk over time?

Re: Aero City Control Panel top layer peeling

I suppose the risk with peeling it completely is that the art layer might lift in places too, especially at the cutaways. You could cut off just the corner of the laminate that’s peeling with a scalpel or x-acto if you carefully cut behind where the peel starts using a ruler. That is if you can live...

Re: You've Got Grail! The Valuation Thread

Original STV radiant Silvergun with some art? £200 for a bare cart at pre-grail prices, £300+ seems reasonable nowadays. https://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/RARE-Vintage-Arcade-Game-RADIANT-SILVERGUN-SEGA-Free-Shipping-1/282475687025?_mwBanner=1&ul_ref=https%3A%2F%2Frover.ebay.com%2Frover%2F0%2F0%2F0%3Fmpre%3...

I have a few of those molex ones, they’re not great. I think they may have been used on Midway or possibly Konami woodies.

Re: How to get this kind of Jamma edge?

Taito used JST for the Jamma edge, as far as I know they have been OOP for a long time. Several of us have looked for new/old stock over the years, no-one has found them yet.
