Re: NESICAxLIVE Bootlegging?
Is this emulator good to work on all revisions of the TTX2? Particularly the earlier ones... (205A, 207A, 208A, etc.) Yes but i seriously beefed up my TX2. Q6600 quad core CPU and 4GB RAM. This setup can run any RingEdge1/2 game too I guess, will do some tests in coming weeks. Now with Q6600 Ibara ...

Re: NESICAxLIVE Bootlegging?
Well, the 800 is a small price for ops. Router + monthly fees + credits all flow into Taito's pockets for this system. For games, 800/32 = 25 per game is not too expensive. I'd gladly pay €25 to play Akai Katana Shin Arcade version. This is not available anywhere else except Xbox. Maybe a pay-per-g...

Re: Public Domain Namco ES1/ES3 (Linux) full access for easy repair (brick, change gpu, broken hdd etc.)
Nice one. Rule #1 is _always_ deny physical access otherwise everything can be pwned. Does the ES1/ES3 ship with a copy of netcat on its internal hdd? If so, great design decisions from Namco :) If it didn't there is plenty of ways i see now to get it into /bin or stuff a copy into tmp and running ...

Public Domain Namco ES1/ES3 (Linux) full access for easy repair (brick, change gpu, broken hdd etc.)
Everyone loves a backstory: It was a rainy evening in Finland and I had just gotten this PCB, me and friend were brain storming various ways to get in. We tried almost all known tricks and linux tricks but nothing worked. Until that is my friend Mr. xxx woke me up in the morning and telling he owned...

Re: NESICAxLIVE Bootlegging?
I'd be very interested to see your dongles. Why? Also sounds pretty gay man. There is picture of one dongle in AssemblerGames thread with serials censored. The software doesn't even need to be hacked if I add the nesica emulations that I was planning. Sadly I am busy with even newer system currentl...

Re: NESICAxLIVE Bootlegging?
You have it, Shou has it, someone else on Youtube has it. At some point, the general public will. It is always the same. Always. The initial work is always done to profit from, eventually it all filters out. Even one individual working in private and never releasing anything doesn't prevent this. S...

Re: NESICAxLIVE Bootlegging?
Ahh, the usual chain of events. The haves. The wants. Coming up next the beggars and whiners. Before long, everyone and their dog will have it. The problem with this is that you cannot just hook the hdd and copy like the usual guys. It has encrypted game images, Nesica Client that games check for (...

Re: NESICAxLIVE Bootlegging?
Not emulated, hacked. I have the latest build, all games and hardware for Nesica including the server, router and client. What are you talking about shou? I emulate 2 different HARDWARE devices, that's a hack and not emu? There is no way you can make this happen by just "hacking". Yea I know you ha...

Re: NESICAxLIVE Bootlegging?
Hmm, I didn't find any in depth information in your post history there. I'm working on a device with JVS/USB support and I'm thinking about adding Fast I/O too. Hence I ask. Knowing if it's just something Ethernet based would be enough for now as the PHY is already on it :) Well Fast I/O uses RJ45 ...

Re: NESICAxLIVE Bootlegging?
Will you document how Fast I/O works publicly? Does it only use the physical connector or is it Ethernet based? Lowlevel? UDP? I posted more information in the assemblergames thread. Since here threads get randomly deleted for 'piracy' when it doesn't suit the moderators views such as my Namco Syst...
