These are NOS too! Would they fit?
No, they are 26" (25" viewable). They would fit an Aero City.

Re: Demag circuit not working on NAC MS9-29A

I see there are two variants:
MS9deg.jpg
I only had the top one (with the black jumper wire) and know that the switch (red wires) is wired correctly there. The other type is wired differently so perhaps the PCB is also different.

What type do you have and how is it wired?

Re: Wei-Ya C31291A / samsung a68kvl74x02

I think that's incorrect. A68KVL74X01 is a Samsung CRT for standard TVs (not 100Hz) and 15KHz arcade monitors. Accordingly, the line coil is well above 1.0mH. Here's a snapshot from an Intervideo manual: A68KVL74X01.jpg It wouldn't work with a MS9 chassis which requires a 0.300mH line coil. Also I'm...

pins 1+2 are shorting with 7/9/10, i guess that is a shorted pri/sec
If that was with flyback off chassis yes, it's shorted.

Re: WG 13K7201 flyback..

The flyback buzzed during the bulb test? How is that even possible if the b+ didn't get to it? Because you isolated the b+ from the flyback/deflection, right?. It's more logical that the buzzing came from the power transformer. Now that the flyback is removed, repeat the test by jumpering the b+ and...

Re: Where to find that part?

That's correct! If I use a ''tap'' as shown by Yosai, can I reproduce that kind of thread myself with an only 1,5mm thickness? Plunging is a bending process so you need a press (manual or hydraulic) and a suitable punch and die to make a plunged hole that you can subsequently thread. It's stuff tha...

Re: Where to find that part?

When sheet metal is very thin (1mm or less), the hole is first plunged with a press so as to produce a raised area that is deep enough to be threaded. Stick mounting plates/brackets are thick enough (3mm) to be just threaded though.

Re: Values of degauss sw & unknown part

The red wire is a jumper across the connector. The blue wires are connected together for automatic degauss or to a momentary switch (like a game button) for manual degauss.

Re: HOW TO: Capcom Impress swap Hitachi GML for MS9-29 chassis

When the picture is more compressed at the sides than in the middle or vice versa it's due to an incorrect capacity in series with the horizontal yoke. The phenomenon is called S-correction and shouldn't be confused with linearity which is asymmetrical. On the MS9 the capacitor should be C507 0.68uF...

Re: Nanao MS-8 Replacement Tube?

That Grundig model is useless for various reasons: 1) not the same front glass curvature as the Toshiba tube in the Astro. It's less curved and will not fit the bezel. 2) it's a 50Hz model and the yoke is for a 15KHz line out frequency (around 1.2mH). 3) You cannot swap the yoke as it's a Philips tu...

Re: Tube and Chassis cleaning

Well that’s spotless, is the picture better after the cleanup? Now it accepts 480p signals directly on the cathodes. Seriously, dust piles up under the yoke where the horizontal scan coils are and this can lead to overheating and burns. Blowing compressed air doesn't do much as heat melts the dust ...

You get rid of that thing but you'll need to get a transformer for the audio amplifier.
