Re: Import duty / Consoles US to UK
if the console is 400 and then you add on the customs duty, then vat would be 20% of that total so i think that’s what is going on here

Re: Analogue Pocket
or is it’s future value basically going to be amongst collectors who hardly ever play games? http://www.reactiongifs.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/new.gif I guess I did kind of realise the answer to this as I typed it, this is the spiritual home of arcade collectors and completists after all...

Do Super megalo seat units ever come up for sale, if so, what price range?
Just looking for info as I am thinking of trying to get hold of a Super Megalo seat or variation for an emulation set-up - are there many of these left in the UK, and if so, prices/sources would be appreciated.

How much does a MS8-29 weigh?
Might seem a strange request but i am having a new kitchen delivered and need to be able to fit a double oven in a cabinet - the oven i have got coming weighs 51kg. I don't have a clue if i am going to be able to lift it in or not on my own. I have previously been able to lift monitors in and out of...

Looking for a joystick for my Mac - advice?
Loving playing Mame on my Mac, at the moment I use a PS3 Sixasis, which does the job but i don't find it comfortable and there are some issues as i use the left analogue stick for movement as don't like the d-pad buttons. I am quite taken with some of the arcade-stick setups I see but there are a lo...

Re: AWSD/Egret3 Monitor Discharge Advice
Unplug from the mains, get a large screwdriver with a rubber handle. Get a decent bit of insulated wire and electrical tape the bare end to the metal on the screwdriver Connect the other bare end of the wire to the metal that goes around the tube, it is usually a bit springy where it comes from the ...

i tried using OpenEmu but i had issues where the rooms i was adding were going into the wrong sections, in other words i would add Atari 5200 games and some would end up in 'arcade' etcmoshpit wrote:For quick games I just use OpenEmu app. I think it uses the retrolib cores.

Mame on a Mac
Have been messing with sdlmame the last couple of days and am really impressed - sure it is no Groovymame for the purists, but in terms of actually having a quick few games i think it works great. I am running it via qmc2 and find that stuff that i could never get to run full speed on my pc set-ups,...
