Re: Sanity check on power circuit on unknown PCB

Is it possible, that the board expects 12V at the power to the op amp
Yes. 12v is generally used for the audio circuit

Your best bet is to dump the EPROMs on the board and run them through ROMident. If successful you'll probably be able to find the pinout for the edge connector.

You're not going to get very far repairing boards without some way of burning and validating ROMs. :awe:

Re: Mini Cute Repro pre orders Europe

These look lovely, excellent work. Waiting and hoping a good monitor solution can be found. The speakers do look slightly off centre though, even on the yellow machine. The red lines either side of the lock are pretty much the same length but the ones next to the speakers are not. 119010040_66408329...

Re: Dodonpachi Saidaioujou EXA LABEL

Looks like the exA mode uses four buttons with the fourth being used for bomb without triggering the hyper.

Interesting that they haven't added and extra character to the marquee.

There are SNK SC25-4 cabinets listed in this auction although no pics. Maybe ask the seller.

Re: Dodonpachi Saidaioujou EXA LABEL

Or supply the artwork digitally so it can be scaled and printed to fit any cab.

Lets be honest most ops won't care too much and the collectors artwork is going to live inside the box. :awe:

It will also be interesting to see how well the hardware ages. PCBs seem to a lot more durable than PCs.

Re: exA-Arcadia

IIRC Shou stated that they will continue to make small runs whilst the demand is there. That's not what he told me. So what did he tell you? There are only a few left in this lot then it will be sold out for good unless there is enough demand for another production. https://forum.arcadeotaku.com/vi...

Re: exA-Arcadia

As your in the US it would be cheaper to buy direct rather than from a reseller.

Re: You've Got Grail! The Valuation Thread

Is STV considered a reliable seller? Currently in a nightmare scenario with the first PCB I've bought from him. Sold me a broken board and he can't be arsed to make it right currently. I've bought dozens of PCBs from him over the years and never had any issues. Always as described, shipped quickly ...

The limited edition unit is gorgeous. Funny that they used the same bi-colour case as for Aka & Blue for the cartridge.
Probably surplus from A&B.
