Re: MiSTer FPGA - Cave 68000 Core Beta Released

How many input devices can a JVS-pac simulate? I think the MAME std config it's for 2 player only. Yep, I believe it's 2player, which can be extended to 4players if you chain two together or connect it to a Capcom I/O Player 3&4 requires either a Capcom IO in 4 player mode, or a linked setup.

Re: MiSTer FPGA - Cave 68000 Core Beta Released

I think this is a known issue and has been reported over on Jotego's github, having a quick read it looks like he has not squashed this bug yet, have a look here: https://github.com/jotego/jtbin/issues/148 Thanks for the heads up. I'll keep an eye out for an update. I had a go with some other 3 &am...

Re: MiSTer FPGA - Cave 68000 Core Beta Released

Ouch. Same for me, it's a pretty hefty price rise in a mater of a couple of weeks. I've had a chance to do a bit more playing and it's going nicely. I dug out a Capcom I/O and happy to confirm that it works nicely via the JVS-PAC2 for 3p/4p action 8-) Question - anybody know a way of re configuring ...

Re: MiSTer FPGA - Cave 68000 Core Beta Released

I ordered my DE10 from digikey, and although it said it was on back order it turned up about a week later Thanks to pubjoe for helping with initial setup, and invzim for his cool little JVS-PAC2 (and config guide ) that makes it a nicely supported plug 'n' play device in the Windy 2 8-) 6496efad-54f...

Thread hijack, but can I include the fan screws too please :shifty: I need some main case screws too. I’m gonna put a bit more effort into finding them all, but extra sets of hands/eyes is always welcome. https://wiki.arcadeotaku.com/images/f/f2/CPS1.5_Fan_Replacement.JPG Wiki will be updated accord...

Re: MiSTer FPGA - Cave 68000 Core Beta Released

This is looking really promising indeed. Nice setup Joe. I fortunately already had a VGA dongle that Cools once gave me for some reason I don’t know. Thanks cools. :whoopsie: You just want a cheapo thing that passes a signal, nothing fancy. Not sure if it'll be relevant, but possibly worth rememberi...

Re: Cabinet Fans

So many fans i've had that sound(ed) like Jet engines! Taito Vewlix Taito X2 Windy 2 PSU CPS1.5 and 2 I disconnected a really noisy fan in my CPS1.5 board, but I noticed it got quite warm, so I chose to install a silent fan. I decided to order silent fans for my CPS2 boards too, although I've never ...

Re: Poster dimension

+1 I've resorted to just getting custom frames made. There's a bloke in my town who makes reasonably priced custom stuff which is handy. I think you can get some ok(ish) prices for custom made frames online, but that's usually during sales. I think pubjoe mentioned recently that the place he usually...

Re: New Astro rewiring

Why 2 pins for ground? It only uses one of the pins in the cabs that I've had. Possibly a deliberately added spare? Also, why a sound connector at this place? They could simply wire it from the jamma to the speakers. When rotating the monitor, the whole of the front bezel (including speakers) needs...

Re: Items spotted on eBay

That looked like a Yaton special. Chat on AP forum looks like Yaton is out of the ebay foray, and selling via facebook instead. I've bought a couple of bits from other ebay accounts had the 'yaton' stickers on, but with other stickers stuck ontop! Hopefully the seemingly never ending warehouse of ar...

Re: Automatic 15/25khz switching for Nanao MS8/MS9 for everyone - interest check

edit:
What he said  8-)
Looking in a Windy 1 and NAC, it is just a switch/button that is connected directly to the chassis.
I'll double check my E2, but i'm pretty sure the switch is replaced by a cable loopback, which is how it 'auto' degausses

Re: NAC Fluo tube replacement with LED tube.

Alternatively, would a replacement standard fluo tube from the UK work in a NAC? I got some replacement starters from Richy however these yield the same result (lamp flickers and causes interference on the monitor). So either the tube is goosed or the whole light fitting. I don’t have the technical...
