Derp. I thought it was AC for some reason. I'm just trying not to die while working on it.

Re: Nanao MS8 (Astro City) Monitor Shutdown After a Few Mins...

Thoughts on changing out one (or all three) of the caps in the B+ section? Specifically C906, C905, C909

Re: Nanao MS8 (Astro City) Monitor Shutdown After a Few Mins...

Thanks grantspain. I measured DC voltage at a capacitor near the fuse (measured continuity to be certain the trace is in circuit). It's reading a fairly stable 93V before and after shutdown

Re: Nanao MS8 (Astro City) Monitor Shutdown After a Few Mins...

A few people have suggested adjusting the B+ voltage. I'm not too familiar with this process, or if it's even a good idea!

Nanao MS8-29FSG Monitor Shutdown After a Few Mins...

Hey fellas I've owned this Astro City for about 10 years. In the last year or so, the monitor has developed an issue where it will power off while the cab is on. The issue went from being very occasional, to every use. Now, the monitor won't stay on for more than 10 minutes, and that's only after it...

Re: Blur/ghosting on Taito F3

Buummmmppppppppp

I just picked up a Gunlock PCB with the same issue, although mine seems to be exclusive to just green.

It is hardly noticeable, but still worth looking into.

I also have Gridseeker which is the exact same hardware and does not exhibit this problem.

Re: What just happened to my DoDonPachi DOJ pcb!?

From a technical standpoint, I don't see why not having the battery would matter, but there seems to be a correlation between broken boards and not having a battery. I suppose the residual acid from the leaky old battery could be to blame, but Kern I recall you cleaning yours before you even had iss...

Re: What just happened to my DoDonPachi DOJ pcb!?

Anyone here run theirs without a battery for an extended period of time?

I converted mine to use a CR2032 about 4 years ago and haven't had any issues.

Re: PGM Battery question.

All these replies, and still no mention of how this is done.

I'm assuming the battery is used to keep the SRAM alive while the board is powered on?

Re: cp system dash boards (1.5 ) query

Looks like it's missing the Q-Sound board.

The CPS Dash motherboard doesn't have an audio amp (which yours has), and the Z80 will be the "Kabuki" Z80. Also, the CPU is rated at 12 MHz, as opposed to 10.
