http://www.drachenherz.ch/components/com_ponygallery/img_pictures/20120206_1545912496_img_1552_658x881.jpg The marquee is killing me. I'm sorry. If this offers any comfort: I removed the marquee long ago and it's been the standard (repro) blast city marquee for quite some time now. ;) ...

Re: What was the first game &cabinet you bought

Cool topic, actually... I got my first, erm, "cab" in 2008... It was a woody shell of a virtua fighter machine (no monitor, no nothing included) for way tooooo much... Actually... it was a piece of crap, but it was nice to play all the mame-glory there is on it's almost proper natural habitat... Or ...

Re: CPS2 A-board broken pin repair? - FIXED -

Thanks Paul. It's partially thanks to you that I unbent it this way: it took me almost 1 hour to unbend it, because I was hyper cautious. If I hadn't read about your experiences beforehand, I'd have been less cautious and would have broken the pin. :-) And yesssss... The game is just awesome! :awe: ...

Re: CPS2 A-board broken pin repair? - FIXED -

I managed to unbend the bent pin, hooray! Took me some cautious work with some tweezers and a precision screwdriver, and here we go: http://www.drachenherz.ch/components/com_ponygallery/img_pictures/20121220_1572527280_p1000227_1280x960.jpg After that, I very cautiously put the A+B boards together, ...

Re: CPS2 A-board broken pin repair? - FIXED -

Okay, managed to take some pics of the bent pin. Any ideas how I could unbent this pin without breaking it? Otherwise, what should I do if it breaks? http://www.drachenherz.ch/components/com_ponygallery/img_pictures/originals/20121219_1261610981_p1000199_1280x960.jpg http://www.drachenherz.ch/compon...

Re: CPS2 A-board broken pin repair? - FIXED -

Hi guys

I got the same problem with the bent pin, it's in the same row as yours porl, but it is the leftmost pin, not the right. I'll cautiously try to unbent the pin, but good to know there's a solution in case I break it off.

Too bad I haven't got a soldering iron - yet! :awe:

Re: Euro coin mechanism to a New Astro City possible?

My Blast City (which I got from Ronnie too (great guy btw.)) came without a coin mech. And the coinslot was too small for swiss 1 franc coins. So I used a file and sanded the slot and used some cardboard to make a coinchute from the slot to the coin"basket". Then Alienmame (great guy too, btw.) sold...

Re: Another Blast City with sound problems

Codecrank, thanks for the tipp. As the sound is more or less working atm, I couldn't get myself to open up the blast and the amp, as it's a real PITA to wark at it, the basement is rather cramped and working down there involves some moving and shuffling things down there. But I definetely keep posti...

Re: Another Blast City with sound problems

Thanks a lot for the info Jubei. I'll take it out as soon as I find time for it and check it out. Strangely, the sound has come back now, and the humming in the PSU stopped... :? Well, sometimes it doees the "old trick" again, quickly fading out, and coming back when I gently push the cab... Hope to...

Thanks geotrig for your answers. Okay, then I'll have a look at the psu soon. Any precautions I have to take besides taking the powerplug out? And what should I look after? And if the amp is broken (how does it actually look like?), how do I change it? Ah, questions over questions, a new challenge! ...

Re: Another Blast City with sound problems

Okay, I'm pretty sure it's not the MVS-board I popped in the last days. To be sure, I tried a strikers 1945 II pcb which I know has working sound... And still no sound on the blast. I *think* the cables are okay (haven't checked them too thouroughly, though...) But I noticed a high pitched humming s...
