Re: Need some help and advice - Sega Blast City Hyperspin

I used to run a full hyperspin setup on my 2 blasts citiy cabs , horizontal and vertical ( art and wheels rotated 90 degrees , took me a bit but it worked fine ) everything will run in 640x480. set all your old school emulators including mame to 640x480 and add scan lines filters as needed. new stuf...

Re: Egret Panel CAD File

only took me like 2 hours to make one with opensource cad tool. It's been laser cut and is an 99% exact match with the original. I'm debating whether or not to post on the wiki... creating quality vector graphics will take time. or money if you pay an artist. you are willing to share them on the wik...

Re: Sega Chihiro - Sound and boots but no video

what kind of monitors have you been trying ? the chihiro outputs a funky vga signal and not every monitors will accept it. My naomi ms2932 worked ok with it, but not my lcd panel on my test rig.

Re: Blast City Mono Audio Amp Problem

before you swap it out again, reconnect the RA connectors on your cab io. not sure why , I've had that happen 2x on a blast. lost mono only until i reaseated the connector.

Re: Drilling locks or finding keys (Blast, New Astro and New Net city)

i have 2 different non 5575 lock+key sets if you are interested PM me. every machine made by sega had a unique cash box lock/key . the number is stamped on them. i assume you could have sega make you a replacement in the old days. personally i would rather have all locks be the same, but to each is ...

Re: Wiring two cabinets for back to back play

some sega cabs have actual VS kits. the blast city has one that will do exactly what you want, master/slave cab with an extra vga out for spectator screen. the naomi and newer have JVS versus kits. same thing as above. there are dyi kits, but you want one that preferably has an active ( powered ) , ...

Re: Drilling locks or finding keys (Blast, New Astro and New Net city)

all the keys shown above can be purchased online, if none of those open one of the locks, you'll have to drill it out. unless you can reach them from inside the cab. like the panel locks.

Re: Sega Naomi/Net City/NAC/Blast etc CP CAD files

Hi FRanco, all DWGs are fine now. I have tried to apply the pitch you propossed for the bolts (84.5x40.4), but just found the lower right side almost overlaps with the first botton in the second line for P1 ina a 2player six button panel. How do you work this around? install the plates vertically. ...

Re: Sega Naomi/Net City/NAC/Blast etc CP CAD files

since a few have asked about stainless steel. its ok to use if you are going to use cd stud welding, or spot welded brackets. For flush mount studs, the metal must be softer than the stud, the specialty studs needed for SS requires a lot of force. aka hydrolic press. since all I have at home is a 2 ...

I'm not sure what you mean by that.

both DSUB and AMP UP ports are wired / functional on the chassis. I can feed 31/15 to either the DSUB or AMP/UP.

Re: Toshiba PF D29C051 issues

for jamma, just 1 : h/c sync

for the 31khz. not sure how the vga is wired internally on the naomi or atomiswave.

does that monitor require separate sync signals ???

Re: Toshiba PF D29C051 issues

thanks for the reply

it's not using any step down transformers, I'm in the US.

wish I had a way to see the diff in the signal between a jamma boards' 15k and the naomi's 15k... trying to narrow down the cause of this.

Toshiba PF D29C051 issues

Ok I'm out of ideas short of a cap kit. I have a NNC with a riverservice jamma adapter loom. I get some weird distortion at the top of the screen when using thinks other than a naomi.... jamma boards: this is what it looks like this https://c2.staticflickr.com/2/1618/23964285813_e17604debe_b.jpg ato...
