Re: Aka & Blue Type R
It'd be surprising if it came out of the blue (pun not intended)... I guess shipping it over to Singapore or wherever can't be that bad for that tiny little SSD. And you probably (?) wouldn't have to send the entire PCB back, so maybe it doesn't matter.

Re: Anyone got a Macross Plus PCB?
Oddly enough, I got a notification about this thread this morning, which is what prompted me to reply... didn't even realize that the last reply was so long ago, hahaha. I was pretty out of it when I replied to that post.

Re: Anyone got a Macross Plus PCB?
Wow, I'm terrible. Completely forgot about it. @Sobriquet, do you still need this? I still have the board and I can easily make some captures over the holiday.

Ghost edit: Turns out some more information was made available today indicating that the shares held by the Saudi investment company funded by MBS will indeed be purchasing up to 51% of shares, giving them a majority stake in the company. https://twitter.com/MruSuk/status/1332359527514124290 https:/...

Re: Items you can't afford on Yahoo Japan Auctions
Seller must be confused - says it's for an Aero in the description, but if it's a 25", it's too small for an Aero. It will fit a Pony Mk3 and the Madonna, though. :awe: Seems like the seller is a shop that has a bunch of NOS Arcade stuff. I believe they also sold the other ones that popped up recent...

Awesome deal if you have the space for that thing. Who ended up buying it?

Re: Items you can't afford on Yahoo Japan Auctions
Very strange, could just be corrosion from being stored somewhere without A/C, and the Japanese summer + winter did its work. I didn't even notice that when I skimmed the listing. Good catch!

Speaking of blowing your socks off, a couple of very good condition and very desirable cabs popped up: Kyotaro, with the manual (!) https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/q381463886 Mini Cute, with the manual (!) and a Saturn converted for JAMMA (?!) https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auctio...

Re: Aka & Blue Type R
Sure, I wouldn't trust the guy that has 30+ bil on the game either. Also, you don't know how a Time Sleuth or Leo Bodnar work. You can't test input lag in a game with them. They're just for display lag. I'm pretty sure we were on point, because exA first party devs have taken the issue very serious...

Re: Aka & Blue Type R
It'd be really helpful to see some objective tests of input lag with Aka & Blue, e.g. with a time sleuth, high-speed camera + LEDs + dual LCD+CRT output, and so on. No data = just claims at the end of the day.

Ah, you're right! Forgot about that whole fiasco, I briefly heard something about a dispute over music, then some sketchy contract business, and the deal died quickly thereafter.

Re: exA-Arcadia
Devil Engine seems like it'd be a good fit for the platform, especially in its home market. Unfortunate that the rights to the game are in a bit of limbo at the moment.

I've heard the 4 (not the 4s) is supposed to be the best of the bunch. Least compatibility issues and best performance. Haven't heard a lot about the newer ones.

Re: exA-Arcadia
How do you guys measure lag? It's not super scientific. Basically you take high frame rate camera and you point it towards the cab so that it shows both the controls and the screen. Then you go to the input test and press a button. Then you take that footage, punch it into a video player an...

Re: [TUTO] Save or répair Deathsmiles 2 Arcade PC-PCB
Thanks for sharing that info! Might be worth adding it to the wiki for future reference, if it isn't already there. I wonder if it's possible to reproduce the sideport memory and add it to boards where it is missing... but guessing it's far more complicated than that. Is it surface mount, or some ki...
