Re: WANTED : System y2 rom board kof 2002 or Someone who can repair it

Could try asking @caius if he could take a look. Not sure of anyone in the region outside of Japan who specializes in PCB repair. Good luck!

Re: Items you can't afford on Yahoo Japan Auctions

Very strange, could just be corrosion from being stored somewhere without A/C, and the Japanese summer + winter did its work. I didn't even notice that when I skimmed the listing. Good catch!

Re: Items you can't afford on Yahoo Japan Auctions

Speaking of blowing your socks off, a couple of very good condition and very desirable cabs popped up: Kyotaro, with the manual (!) https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/q381463886 Mini Cute, with the manual (!) and a Saturn converted for JAMMA (?!) https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auctio...

Re: Aka & Blue Type R

Sure, I wouldn't trust the guy that has 30+ bil on the game either. Also, you don't know how a Time Sleuth or Leo Bodnar work. You can't test input lag in a game with them. They're just for display lag. I'm pretty sure we were on point, because exA first party devs have taken the issue very serious...

Re: Aka & Blue Type R

It'd be really helpful to see some objective tests of input lag with Aka & Blue, e.g. with a time sleuth, high-speed camera + LEDs + dual LCD+CRT output, and so on. No data = just claims at the end of the day.

Re: SEGA AERO CITY cabinets

Not trying to threadcrap - @drako125, why not just buy from a US seller? KC in LA gets Aeros frequently, and will ship anywhere. Seems much easier, will probably be the same price, if not cheaper, and no dealing with customs.

Ah, you're right! Forgot about that whole fiasco, I briefly heard something about a dispute over music, then some sketchy contract business, and the deal died quickly thereafter. :(

Re: exA-Arcadia

Devil Engine seems like it'd be a good fit for the platform, especially in its home market. Unfortunate that the rights to the game are in a bit of limbo at the moment.

Re: Best version of Pandoras box

I've heard the 4 (not the 4s) is supposed to be the best of the bunch. Least compatibility issues and best performance. Haven't heard a lot about the newer ones.

Re: exA-Arcadia

How do you guys measure lag? It's not super scientific. Basically you take high frame rate camera and you point it towards the cab so that it shows both the controls and the screen. Then you go to the input test and press a button. Then you take that footage, punch it into a video player an...

Re: [TUTO] Save or répair Deathsmiles 2 Arcade PC-PCB

Thanks for sharing that info! Might be worth adding it to the wiki for future reference, if it isn't already there. I wonder if it's possible to reproduce the sideport memory and add it to boards where it is missing... but guessing it's far more complicated than that. Is it surface mount, or some ki...

Re: exA-Arcadia

No email on my end. It's a shame, MAGFest just ended yesterday and I really wanted to have A&B there for people to play. I doubt there will be as much hype for it next year. Spilled milk and all, but it may be worth trying to reach out directly in the future. Possible that Shou/EXA would've fast-tr...

Cadillacs and Dinosaurs - https://www.ebay.com/itm/264426414195?_trksid=p2546172.m570.l5997&_trkparms=gh1g%3DI264426414195.N34.S2.R1.TR2 It's a grail of mine but it isn't worth the crazy amounts it always sells for. I look forward to it selling for $1000 or something :( why are the cps 1.5's so exp...

Re: exA-Arcadia

You can do chargebacks for several reasons if you were the buyer. Item not as described, item not received, etc. I've done them many times (with Visa/Mastercard), and always got my money back. Maybe your credit card company is different, though. Different cards have different chargeback policies. I...

Re: exA-Arcadia

Even some overly broad timeline would be better than radio silence. I get that EXA/Shou are running this operation as lean as possible, but even having one person around (or delegated to a couple of people for a few hours a day) to answer inquiries from paid customers wouldn't hurt. Even a quick twe...

Re: exA-Arcadia

One can assume it'll loop back to the game select, just like the Sega & Taito cabs.

I remember when BlazBlue CS2 needed an update, you had to mail the drive back to Taito in Japan.
