Re: What obscure PCB(s) are in your collection that you love

Storm Blade is a very vanilla but nice shmup. Does anyone know if the battery on the lower board only is for saving high scores?

Re: What's been your favourite cab & what cab do you want ne

The first cab I bought was an abused Naomi Universial which I converted to JAMMA. The 31 khz monitor never really shined but it was a good learning experience taking it apart and restoring it. Then the addiction struck home and I bought a Capcom Cute. Great monitor, perect size for a flat but I hard...

Re: Help me get my Net city through a small doorway

The dimensions of the Naomi are:

760 x 980 x 1750 mm

If you are lucky just have to remove the control bucket and/or leg covers incl. the feet. Otherwise you have to detach the legs from the base. Good thing is you can chop it right then.

Re: Original Prices for Arcade Games

A quick google search turned up that the average britsh yearly income in 1990 was around 13.000 GBP and has roughly doubled in the last 25 years.

Re: Arcades in Vancouver

Thanks for the information. The hostel Im staying at is 200m from Movie Land or the arcade that time forgot. Raiden II, Raiden Fighters and a six player Daytona. I guess SF third strike is their newest machine. Also went down to espot. Impressive indeed. Few shmups but the figthers and Gundam machin...

Arcades in Vancouver

Bit of a long shot but are there any arcades in Vancouver worth visiting. I stumbled upon Movie Land but I wasn´t able to make out if they are still operating.
Thanks.

Re: 'By the way, love' stories

Due to an imminent house move I stored my two cabs at my parents with the plan to escalate things in bearable amounts. I started with the Cute on a day when she was away. Due the small size (well, when she asked how big a cab was beforehand I showed her a two player Scud Racing...) and the girlish c...

IGS PGM GFX flicker and sprite tearing

Has anyone experienced flickerung as well as tearing sprites with PGM carts? If so was it down to the mobo or the cart.

I´m sorry for this being so unspecific but I just cleaned the connectors, adjusted the voltage etc. and have only the mobo and one cart.

Re: The All New "What Games Are You Playing?" Thread

Are the 161 multicarts any good??
Until now I only found one game that is faulty (Aero Fighters 3- bullets are fixed and only move due to the forced scrolling)

Apart from Windjammers Shock Troopers is also missing.

I can vouch for the Metal Bug kit. It´s plastic and reasonably priced (about 25 USD on ebay).

While it was the weakest port Follins soundtrack is astonishing. Amazing what he squeezed out of the C64´s soundchip.

2nd level is where it´s at.

Re: A credit a day...

I played my second credit (played the PS 2 port in the past) on my recently arrived Espgaluda PCB and got to the Stage 4 Mid Boss. I have to get the third extend by stage 4 and don´t die on the third stage boss twice... :palm:
